Whimsy Stamps New Release & 2 Cards

Sunday, September 11, 2022

Hello friends. I'm excited to share with you 2 cards today using an awesome new die set just released from Whimsy Stamps - Witch Whispers.

For my first card, I die cut the witch from the Witch Whispers set from a full sheet of Masking Magic. I then used this airbrush system, that I recently made a card with here, to create my background. Believe it or not I started with a piece of white card stock. I first added the negative portion of the mask onto a piece of white card stock and then used some pink and purple alcohol ink with the airbrush system to add color to the witch.

I then removed that mask and added in the mask of just the witch. I used alcohol inks to create the sky background. I then masked off the sky and added in black alcohol ink for the ground.

When I removed the witch mask, there were a few areas where the mask didn't get right up to the other mask so there were some white areas. I decided to take a black pen and add in some shadows to help disguise those areas. I stamped a sentiment from the Halloween Scream stamp set and then added in some black glitter die cut cats cut from this glitter foam which are included in the Witch Whispers set. I rounded the corners and added this to a purple notecard, that measures about 6x5 inches.

I just love how this card came out and how easy it was to create such a fun background.

For my second card, I started with a piece of patterned paper from the Haunted Graveyards 6x6 paper collection and die cut it using the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die set. I stamped the sentiment from the Halloween Postage set onto it and then added my witch die cut from the Witch Whispers set. I die cut it two times, once from black card stock and once from black glitter card stock.

Here is some inspiration from the rest of the team. So much awesomeness!

I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for your visit and crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
