Spellbinder- Color Block Backgrounds Collection

Wednesday, May 4, 2022

Hi friends. I'm back today with 2 cards featuring the Color Block Backgrounds collection from Spellbinders.

For my first card, I am using the Color Block Southwest die. It's such a cool die set and so versatile. I cut out the pieces from two different colors of blue card stock and then added everything together. I stamped the sentiment which is from the Many Birthdays Clear Stamp & Die Combo onto the same light blue card stock and then used the Nestabilties Essential Rectangles die set to cut it out. I die cut a couple leaves and added them behind the sentiment which I popped up on foam tape.

For my second card, I started by using the Optical Arches embossing folder and embossing it with grey card stock. I liked that this mimicked rainbows.

I then took the new Color Block Cloudscape die set and die cut several layers of clouds. I stamped my sentiment onto it and then added these to the embossed panel. I then added the sun which comes from the April 2022 glimmer hot foil club kit. Some yellow pearls finish off the card.

I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for your visit and crafty hugs! ~ Alanna ***

Happy Easter to you and your family, Alanna. I hope you have a beautiful holiday. What a delight to see these beautiful cards. The first one is so striking and I like the crispness of the embossing on the second. Thanks so much for sharing!
