2 Slimline Cards

Wednesday, December 22, 2021

Hi friends. I have a fun card to share with you today using the new Gifts Galore rubber cling stamp from Whimsy Stamps. Note that this set comes with a free irregular die as there was an error in the manufacturing process so the die doesn't quite line up with the inside of the image. If you do partial die cutting and run the die through twice, you can get a pretty clean cut. So while supplies last, you get both the slimline stamp and the die for both just $16.99.

For my first card, I took a slimline card base measuring 8.5 x 3.5 inches and then added a piece of specialty paper from Tonic Studios and added it so there was a thin border. I then stamped the new Gifts Galore stamp onto white card stock with black ink. I used the die to trim out the inside. I trimmed the outer edges down just a bit. I added it with foam tape to the red specialty paper.

I then die cut the Merry Large Word die two times from the same silver mirror card stock and stacked those together. I then die cut it again from black card stock. I adhered the die cuts together so that there was just a bit of the black peeking through for a shadow effect. I added it to the card and then heat embossed the Christmas portion of the sentiment which is from the Happy Sayings stamp set.

For my second card, I used the new Sentiment Assortment - Celebrate stamp and. I heat embossed the Gifts Galore image with white embossing powder onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock. I then took a couple of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers along with the blender to add the coloring in. I used the die to cut out the center. I took a piece of acetate and stamped the Celebrate sentiment onto it with some white Stazon ink.

I then created a shaker card by adding foam tape to the back of the stamped image and added some sequins from my stash.

I hope you've enjoyed my cards today. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Fun and festive cards, Alanna. Interesting info about the one die. I have never heard of that happening before, but it makes sense that sometimes mistakes happen. I like how bright and fun these cards are. Hope you are enjoying your Christmas week!
