Spellbinders Holiday Medley Collection with 2 Cards

Monday, September 6, 2021

Hi friends. I have two cards to share with you today featuring a couple of the dies and a glimmer plate from the Holiday Medley collection from Spellbinders

For my first card, I started by taking the gorgeous Pinstripe Bracket Card Builder glimmer plate and I foiled it with silver foil onto a piece of navy card stock which I then added to a white notecard.

I then took the new Celebrate Scrollwork Card Builder die set and die cut the detail portion from white card stock and then just the frame portion from a soft blue card stock. I added these two pieces together and added it to my foiled background. I finished off the card with a few die cut snowflakes cut from silver foil card stock which are from the Holiday Decorations die set.

For my second card, I started by taking the Foiled Brushstrokes and Stripes glimmer plate set and foiling it with silver foil onto the Spellbinders Glimmer Specialty card stock. If you've had troubling foiling in the past and getting a good result, this card stock is absolutely phenomenal and I highly recommend it. I had absolutely no issues at all with these glimmer plates that have a lot of surface area. I added my foiled background to a navy notecard.

I then took the new Silver Bells Dimensional Doily die set and die cut them twice from white card stock leaving all the inner portions inside and then another two times from navy card stock but this time, I popped out all the inner pieces. The bells hook together which I did. I added them to my background and then finished off the card with a foiled sentiment which is from the More Sentiments glimmer plate collection along with the Fashion Silver Embellishments from Spellbinders.

I hope you've been inspired. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Wow, such beautiful cards, Alanna. That first one is especially elegant and festive. Wonderful work. I was going to ask how you get such good foiling, but I'll bet it's that cardstock you use, unless it doesn't come in Navy. Then I want to know your tips and tricks. ;) Thanks for sharing these lovely cards!
