Spellbinders Open House Collection

Thursday, August 19, 2021

Hi friends. I am sharing two cards with you today featuring a couple products from the new Open House collection at Spellbinders. These are add-on die sets that work perfectly with the previously released October 2020 large die of the month set - Always Welcome, still available. Or they work with the brand new Open House Base Door die set which I did not use in my projects today.

For my first card, I am using both of the add-on collections I started by blending on some ink over a brick stencil directly onto my card base. I die cut pieces from the Always Welcome set for my door and decorative part to the door. I then die cut the columns from the Open House Door Side Panel die set. I love that you can either cut the columns without the decorative details or with at the top.

I then got to work on my steps using the Open House Sentiments Steps die set. This set is so much fun in that you can die cut just the steps or you can die cut them and then die cut words from them for your sentiments, which is what I did for both my cards. This set also comes with the hand railings which is so fun.

I finished off my card with one of the trees from the Bottle Brush Trees die set

For my second card, I am just using the Open House Sentiment Steps die set along with the main Always Welcome set. It's a bit simpler in design as I left off the additional side columns and just added a simple wreath to my front door which is one of the dies from the main Always Welcome set

I love these die collections and how fun it is to mix and match. Wishing you a wonderful day. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Very fun! Thanks for sharing the great die cut cards. I like the holiday theme. It's great that you don't have to add the words and can make these work year round. Very smart design. Crafty hugs!
