Waving Hello

Hi friends! I'm happy to be participating again with my friends Iris and Faye in another mini challenge where we each take the same stamp set and use a different coloring medium. Faye will be using colored pencils, Iris will be using watercolors, and I will be using Copic markers. Both of those ladies are uber talented so be sure to check out their projects.

This time, we are using the adorable new Octopi Guys set from the latest release at Whimsy Stamps. I colored in one of the main image along with two of the extra tentacle images with Copic markers and then cut them out using the coordinating dies. This set is so stinking cute!

I then took the new Wonky Window 4 die and die cut it 4 times from some navy card stock and adhered them all together to build up a frame. I then took the same die and die cut it with one of the patterned papers from the new Under the Sea Slimline paper collection. I added in the patterned pieces and then adhered my stamped and die cut pieces. I finished by adding the outer portion of the frame that I had stacked up and I also added a stamped sentiment which is from the same Octopi Guys set.

I hope you've been inspired today. I appreciate your visit. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Oooh Alanna, this is really clever and I love how the BV (?) hues you've used adds to the underwater feel, especially with the extra colour around the die cuts x

Fantastic card, Alanna! The moody colors are terrific and so is your coloring of the octopus. Thanks for sharing! :)
