Whimsy Stamps Slimline Christmas Card Hop & Prizes

Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Good morning friends and happy December. I am excited to be participating in a fun blog hop organized by Miranda Mathis and Craft Collabs. Each designer is featuring a Christmas card using a slimline die from Whimsy Stamps, the innovator of slimline dies.

You can see the entire line up of slimline dies that Whimsy has to offer here.

For my card today, I started by die cutting the Slimline Pillows die twice - once from white card stock and once from this specialty paper from Tonic Studios.

I then stamped the tree image from the Holiday Postage set from Whimsy Stamps onto 4 of the center portions. I did some easy Copic coloring and also added blue ink for the sky and some brown ink for the ground. I then stamped the sentiment onto the 5th inner portion. The sentiment is from the Christmas Ellie-ments stamp set and I trimmed it so that it would fit my opening.

I got to work on assembling my card and started by adding in the negative portion of the Slimline Pillows die. I then inlaid each of the center portions.

I decided that my card needed just a bit else so I stamped, colored and cut out two penguins which are also from the Holiday Postage set and added them with some foam tape.

Please note: This is a multi-platform hop… some of the designers are posting on YouTube and some on blogs. Open to US and international residents.

The next designer on the hop is the very talented Katie.
