Wonky Donkeys Take 2

Thursday, November 12, 2020

Hi friends. A while back, two of my friends from the Whimsy Stamps creative team were online chatting and decided that we would each create a slimline card featuring the new Wonky Donkey set just released from Whimsy Stamps.

I posted a card a couple of days ago using this set, linked here, in case you missed it.

You can see Iris' and Faye's slimline cards here and here. Iris used watercolors and Faye used colored pencils while I used Copic markers.  These two ladies are tremendously talented and I would encourage to check out their posts and give them some love.

Alright, back to my card. I started by stamping out all 3 of the donkey images from the Wonky Donkey set onto white card stock. They were colored with warm greys, cool greys and browns.  I cut them out and then set them aside.

I then die cut the Slimline Filmstrip die two times, once out of red card stock and once out of white card stock. I adhered the red portion to my slimline card base. I stamped 3 of the fun sentiments included in the Wonky Donkey set onto each of the white inner panels which I pieced inside. I then added my donkey images.

Alrighty then, that's all I have for you today. I hope you've been inspired and enjoyed this fun card. I appreciate you stopping by and hope you have an amazing day. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Snap! We used the same die :D Love your take with the die cut in red and in portrait mode. Fab card, lovely colourwork and I think it's a cute touch to have a sentiment in each window x

Thanks for sharing the other ladies' blogs. I left them both some love, too. You work among some wonderful talent, Alanna. Your donkeys are are lots of fun. Great die and placement of these goofy guys. I like how you added the sentiment in each opening, too. Thanks so much for sharing. Looks like all three of you had a blast! Hugs!
