Whimsy Stamps Mini Release and 2 Cards

Thursday, October 1, 2020

Hi friends. There is another great mini release at Whimsy Stamps. I have 2 cards to share with you today but will have plenty more throughout this month.

For my first card, I am using the new Gilded Holiday paper collection. You guys - the papers are so gorgeous and elegant. I want to buy 5 more packages of this because I love it that much. :)

I started by taking one of the patterns and die cutting it using the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die collection. I adhered it to a top folding black card base.

I then took the previously released Connected Oval Frame die and die cut it 4 times - once out of another pattern from the new paper collection and 3 times out of black card stock. I adhered the layers together and then stamped the sentiment which is from the Meowy Kitty-mas stamp set. I decided the space needed a bit more so I reached for the FaDoodles Too stamp set and added in the swirl images.

My second card features the amazing Comic Book Page stamp. This is a red rubber cling stamp and is just so much fun.

I started by stamping it on a piece of white card stock that I had die cut using the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die collection. I colored in the Comics portion of the stamp with some BG Copic Markers.

I then stamped, colored and cut out a couple of the images from the older Super Dogs set. I stamped a couple of the sentiments from that set directly onto my stamped background. I added the D shield with liquid glue and the flying pup with some foam tape.

That's all I have for you today but before you go, here is some additional inspiration from the rest of the design team. I appreciate you so much and hope you have a wonderful day. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

That first card is just beautiful, Alanna. That paper pad looks like it must be gorgeous. So elegant! Then you have that super fun comic card. Just awesome. However, I have a daughter who just might disagree with the claim. LOL Great job on both cards, my friend! :) Hugs!
