Creating Stamps from Dies for Whimsy Stamps for World Card Making Day

Saturday, October 5, 2019

Hi friends and happy World Card Making Day.  I am hopping with part of the Whimsy Stamps team on Instagram where we are each showcasing some Halloween cards.  My Instagram name is Embellish.Craft.Love so be sure to find me over there and hop along for your chance at some great prizes and inspiration.

For my card today, I started by creating a mask from the Wonky Window 1 die. After my mask was in place, I added various shades of blue, purple and black Distress inks over top of it. I then added some water droplets for added dimension.

I removed the mask and I just love the crisp white lines you get.

I then created my own foam stamps from some die cut images like I showed earlier this week with the Dracula and the bat images from the Dracula Going Batty die collection.

Click here to check out that post if you haven't seen it and to learn how to do this fun technique.

I finished off my card by stamping the sentiment which is from the Going Batty stamp set that I thought paired perfectly with these images.
