3 Cards for Whimsy Stamps March Release

Friday, March 1, 2019

Hi friends and welcome to my 2nd post today featuring 3 cards using the beautiful new Butterfly Background from the newest Whimsy Stamps release. Click here to be taken directly to all of the new products being released this month - all available NOW for purchase.

I love this image so  much and couldn't stop making cards with it. For today, I will show you 3 of the ones I made.

For my first card, I stamped the Butterfly Background image using my Misti with Copic friendly ink. I then grabbed a few of my Copic markers and scribbled them across the image. I stamped a simple sentiment from the Happy Sayings set, popped it up with foam tape and added some clear sequins to finish off the card.

For my second card, I took the Butterfly Background image and heat embossed it with some white detail embossing powder. I then added some various Nuvo Shimmer powders. This was my first time working with these powders but they are very similar to Ken Oliver Color Burst powders.  You can't really see it in the photo but in real life, the panel has a nice bit of shimmer.

I stamped the sentiment from the Distant Friends stamp set. Some gems finish off the card.

For my last card, I again heat embossed the Butterfly Background image with white embossing powder. This time, I added a few colors of Distress inks with my blending tools. I love the varying shades of oranges and corals. I decided to leave this card without a sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have been inspired. Crafty hugs!
