Happy Friday friends. Are you like me and are running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to prepare for the big day next week? Or are you more put together and have things under control? :)
In any event, I hope you are all doing well. I have a Christmas card to share with you, albeit somewhat non-traditional, using products from Whimsy Stamps.
I started out by heat embossing the beautiful Winter Roses Background image with clear embossing powder onto a piece of white card stock. I then took some various Distress inks and lightly sponged over my heat embossing. I love the detail in this image and the small dot patterns on the inside of the roses and leaves.
I then stamped the sentiment from the Bundled Up set. I absolutely love the style of this sentiment and the great curves to it.
I then took my panel and ran it through my Big Shot on the top and bottom with one of the dies from a retired die collection from Whimsy Stamps. I love the fun stitching detail it gives without any effort. I've linked to a similar set here in the Whimsy store.
I matted this panel onto some black card stock and then adhered it to my card base. I finished off the card with some clear gems.
Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. I will be back tomorrow with another Christmas card. Until then, crafty hugs!

Oooh, very pretty, Alanna. The colors are lovely and I really like the sentiment stamp. Such a fun style. I'm so not ready for the big day, but guess I will have to get going on wrapping if I want them to get unwrapped. LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the ethereal look of the inking on top of the embossing. I hope the big day worked out well. I was remarkably on top of things this year - much more so than previous years which was nice! Hope your New Year is just as fun! xx
