Hi friends. Thanks so much for joining me today as I share two cards with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC.
On both cards, I am using the ever so fabulous Butterfly Beauty set from Concord & 9th and some of the new Distress Oxide inks.
I started out by smooshing 3 different colors of inks onto my craft mat. I then spritzed the mat with water. I then took a piece of Tim Holtz water color card stock and dragged it through the inks. I did this several times making sure to dry in between with my heat gun each time. I also added additional water as I was drying the card panels.
For the first card, I used Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade. For the second card, I used Faded Jeans, Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint.
Once each of the panels were complete and dry, I stamped the butterfly image from the Butterfly Beauty set and the happy birthday sentiment which is also in that set. I then used the Wonky Stitches die from Avery Elle to cut out the panel and add some interest. I adhered the card panel to some black card stock and then onto my card base. Some sequins in coordinating colors finish off each of the cards.

Breath taken away with your gorgeous cards, Alanna! Right now, I'm having a wrestling match with smooshing (makes me crazy that I can't even do that!), which is the requirement for a DT challenge card and I'm about ready to throw in the towel! Seeing your artistry here - the colours, the smooshing, the beautiful butterflies - however, has me re-kindled my desire to try! You are an awesome muse...thank you!
Hugs~carol
