I am using the gorgeous Lacy Heart die from Technique Tuesday and the Script Greetings stamp set from Right at Home on both cards. Although as you will see, I am using it in completely different ways. Before we get to today's card, I just have to gush for a moment on the Script Greetings stamp set. I absolutely love the brushed lettering font in this set. It is beyond gorgeous and will definitely be one of my most favorite stamp sets for 2016. In my opinion, it's definitely a set that any crafter would want. I also used the MFT Inside and Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Die-namics on both of today's cards. This is one of my favorite die sets with the detail it leaves.
Okay, onto my cards. For my first card, I die cut the die from some Inkadinkado masking paper. With this, I was able to use one of my Clarity brushes and gently sponge on some pink ink. I just love the soft feel to this and the Clarity brushes make it so easy to gently add ink over the delicate mask. I then stamped the sentiment from the Script Greetings stamp set. I added foam tape on the back of my card panel for added dimension.
For my second card, I used the same Lacy Heart die cut and ran it through some Deco Foil foam sheets. You can then add any color foil onto this and the foil sticks to the foam. Click here to check out all the different foil colors available by TupeloDesignsLLC. It was a bit tedious to do this technique with this intricate die but it was totally doable. Just think of everything you could foil and give dimension to all in one fail swoop.
This close up gives a better look of the actual color of the foil. It is so hard to photograph straight on.
Note: Some product has been provided by TupeloDesignsLLC; however, all opinions are my own.
Beautiful work, Alanna! I like the softness of the first card with the die used as a stencil. That sentiment looks great, too. It's amazing how the foil looks at different angles! I was surprised when I saw the two photos of the second card :). Both cards look great! Hope you have a great weekend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of post Alanna - I really like to know a product is versatile and your two cards give such different looks but both are lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh, these are both beautiful, Alanna!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! It's nice to actually see a die cut when it's cut out. I have been eyeing this die but was not sure what it would look like and now after seeing your cads I think I need this die in my stash. That card done with the black heart is just stunning! Well done tfs.
ReplyDeleteDuh I see now that the foiled heart is pink sorry. I do like how it looks black in the first photo though still it's pretty in pink lol.
