Happy, Happy, Happy

I had a fun time putting this card together. I started by sponging on 3 colors of Distress Ink over the gear stencil. From there, I then added the Happy from Whimsy Stamps Happy Everything set three times.  I then die cut some balloons with white card stock from the Party Time Die Set and sponged them with the same inks I used on my background.

After my card was complete, I looked down and somehow, I had gotten a small smudge of black ink in the background. That's when the stars came into play, both sizes from the Happy Hello set from Whimsy.  I don't know that I would have used the stars and now I'm happy that I had the ink smudge as I really like the stars and feel like they make the background pop just a bit more.

Happy Saturday!

What a fun card! I wouldn't have known what to do with a gear stencil, but it sure looks great here! The stars do add a neat look. Yay for smudges of invention! Have a great weekend. Go Broncos! :)

What a great card. I love the inking you did. And you did a fabulous job covering up your oops! I cannot tell you how many times I have had to fix things like this. Sometimes it makes the card so much better, though. Great design!!
