Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #44

Sunday, October 3, 2010

It's Sunday again which means another great challenge at Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional challenge this week is to make a card based on your favorite Christmas movie.

My most favorite Christmas movie is Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase.  I love the Griswald family and they always give our family some serious laughs.  I have so many favorite scenes in the movie but one that sticks out is where the family Christmas tree catches on fire and burns to a crisp on Christmas Eve so Clark goes out and chops down a tree in the neighborhood and lugs it inside.  It is WAY too big.  So with that in mind, I decided to use this fun Christmas tree on my card.

***Supplies***
Stamps:  PTI
Other:  Cuttlebug, PTI ribbon, clear epoxy stickers

Remember that this week is a prize week so you'll definitely want to play along with us. Have a good one.  Oh, and if you haven't seen Christmas Vacation, you must see it.  It is hysterical.

Your card is so lovely, Alanna! It looks like you stamped the tree first and then ran it through your Cuttlebug!? What a neat effect. *Ü*

I've watched Christmas Vacation a couple of times through the year and do admit to chuckling a time or two. LOL

Let's hope the Broncos can score a win today!

LOVE this card! I was also trying to figure out if you stamped it first, or embossed - I think Jeanne's right. Looks very nice!!
