The highlights

Sunday, October 11, 2009

Several people asked me to post so here are the new highlights in my hair. What do you think? Nothing too drastic, as I do work in a professional office, but still some noticeable change.

And here's my whole head. Harder to see the actual highlights so that's why I posted the pic above. On a sidebar, this is me most days. I've pretty much given up wearing makeup for the most part. I've decided that I don't apply it well enough and that it's just one more thing to do in the morning. Anyways, I digress.

Well, there you have me, in all my UN-glory. I am really pleased with my hair but hate having my picture taken. Have a great Sunday. It's off to church for me and the fam now.

Very cute haircut, and they did really well with the highlights. Like you, I don't wear makeup either and I'm totally happy with that. You're beautiful either way! :)

Well, I LOVE it. Looks like you got a new cut too! It looks great. You have very beautiful hair and skin. If my skin were that dewy and pretty, I wouldn't wear make-up either.
Blessings,

Very pretty, Alanna! And fitting for an almost CPA. I like subtle! I've never had my hair highlighted but worked real hard for a few years to keep it all the same color. Currently, my "highlights" are provided by God. He's doing OK!

Hope your day is a good one, friend!!

Alanna, the highlights are great. Love the new do. I am like you I don't wear make up either.
I have only had highlights once and that was the day my husband picked out my hair color. It was almost black when I dried it about 4 on a Sunday afternoon. I quickly called the shop down the street and they worked me in. Almost $100 later, I had highlights. It would have been cheaper to buy black nail polish and lipstick and let everyone think I was going goth at 50 something. I started going gray when I was 17. True story.

Alanna I love the new do :D and like the rest I don't wear makeup. The little that I wear when going on an interview is lipstick ... that's it unless my cheeks need a little color and that is all there is to it. My hair is kept short because I tried getting my hair permed and it will not hold a perm. It is straight and the natural little curl over my ear tells me when it's time for a cut hehe. My dear friend...you are very pretty inside and out...that's all one needs. Hugs..Iona

I think it looks great. That is so funny, I bought some hair dye the other day, haven't used it yet, it's been a year since I last dyed my hair and I figured it was time.

I also have stopped with the make-up!!

Too funny

Looks great!Love your DOO!! I color my natural highlights :)
I don't like to wear face make up either, but then i got hooked on "Bare Minerals" {just for winter} It's all natural and doesn't feel caked on like liquid foundations does.
You are beautiful!!

How very pretty! Both the highlights and you! *Ü*

Unlike many who have posted, I DO wear makeup. I color my hair, too. But mostly because I am just about completely gray/white underneath the color and I was very tired of people assuming I was my kids' grandmother.

I enjoy make-up, but I have also noticed white hairs in my eyebrows and eyelashes, so I cover those up with make up. I have blue eyes and do like to make them stand out a bit. {grins}

If I could get away with not and still feel pretty, I probably would give up the make up (and the hair color, too).
