A set of 8 Christmas Cards

Friday, December 3, 2021

Hi friends. I have a set of 8 super simple and very mail friendly Christmas cards to share with you today using the brand new Vintage Christmas set from Whimsy Stamps just released a couple of days ago.

For each of the cards, I started by taking this blender brush and inking on some Distress Ink just in the center of the card base. I then stamped the large church image from the Vintage Christmas set with some grey ink. I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment, included in the stamp set, in the same color of ink that I used for the background. I rounded the corners on the right sides of each of the cards and that's all there is to it.

I was able to create these 8 cards in less than an hour so if you are short on time this design or something similar to it might be a great option.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Wishing you all a wonderful day. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Spellbinders December 2021 Glimmer Club Inspiration - 2 Cards

Thursday, December 2, 2021

Hi friends and welcome back. I am happy to share with you today 2 cards featuring the awesome new December 2021 Glimmer Plate club kit from Spellbinders. This month's club kit has an amazing wreath that has a coordinating die to cut it out along with some fun sentiments and other fun plates.

For my first card, I started by foiling a piece of this card stock with red foil using the Brushstrokes and Stripes glimmer plate set. I love this glimmer plate set so much. It might just be my favorite. I love that you can use all the plates together, as I have here, or just use some of them individually.

After the panel was foiled, I die cut it using the largest die from the Nestabilities Essentials Label die set.

I then took the wreath glimmer plate from the December 2021 glimmer kit and foiled it using gold foil. I took the coordinating die and cut it out and then cut the wreath out two more times using the die so I could added my die cuts together for dimension. I added the wreath to my card and then added in some red pearls for some berries.

I finished off the card by adding in a foiled sentiment which is included in the December 2021 kit. It has a coordinating die to cut it out which is awesome.

For my second card, I took the same Brushstrokes and Stripes glimmer plate set but this time I foiled it onto some red card stock. I then die cut it out using a die from the Fluted Classics Ovals die set. I added the oval to a kraft A2 card base.

I then foiled the wreath from the December 2021 glimmer club kit with green foil and as I did on the first card, die cut the wreath two more times for added dimension. I added it to my card and foiled the other sentiment that is included in the kit.

4 Slimline New Years Cards

Wednesday, December 1, 2021

Hi friends and happy December 1st. Say what? It's crazy where 2021 has gone. Well my cards today feature some gorgeous new paper from Whimsy Stamps along with the Happy New Year set released last year, perfect to ring in the new year, coming in just one month.

For each card, I started by die cutting the new Slimline Champagne papers with the new Slimline Window Tiles die set. I just used the large rounded rectangle portion of the die set for these cards. I then heat embossed the images from the Happy New Year set onto the patterned paper. I started with the stem of the glass and did it in silver embossing powder.

I then moved onto the Happy New Year portion of the glass and did it in gold. I then added in the bubbles and did them in silver. Everything was done in assembly line style.

I have to tell you how much I adore these new papers and love how these cards came out. The papers are just absolutely stunning and I will be ordering lots more, that's for sure. :)

Here is some inspiration from the rest of the Creative team. I hope you've been inspired today. Wishing you all a wonderful day and week. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Spellbinders Garden Club Collection

Tuesday, November 23, 2021

Hi friends. I am happy to be sharing two cards with you today featuring products from the Garden Club collection of dies from Spellbinders. I am working the gorgeous Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery and Geranium and Antique Wooden Bucket die sets for my cards today.

For my first card, I started by creating the dahlias in a bright pink color. I followed the tutorial on the Spellbinders YouTube channel to create the flowers and leaves. I die cut the the pot from some light aqua card stock and then added some shading using some darker ink.

I die cut the largest die from the Fluted Classic Squares die collection into the white card stock for some added texture. I added this to a square aqua card base. I then added my pot with a couple foam squares in the center to give a bit of roundness and then added my leaves and dahlias.

For my second card, I am using the Geranium and Antique Wooden Bucket die set. I first stamped a woodgrain background onto my red card background. I then die cut a white oval from the Fluted Classic Ovals die set.

I die cut the bucket from some metallic card stock and added it to the white die cut oval. I then got to work on the greenery. Again, I watched the tutorial for this collection on the Spellbinders YouTube channel. I attached all the greenery portions and then got to work on the geranium flowers themselves. I die cut several of them from white card stock and then used a couple shades of red ink to ink them up. I shaped each of the flowers and then added them to the bucket.

I decided not to add a sentiment to either card as I couldn't decide on a good spot and decided that there was enough going on with these cards.

I hope you've been inspired today. Wishing you all a very happy week. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Set of 4 Slimline Christmas Cards

Monday, November 22, 2021

Hi friends. I have a set of 4 slimline Christmas cards to share with you today using the awesome new Slimline Tapered Frames die set just released from Whimsy Stamps over the weekend. I started by die cutting the die set several times from various shades of aqua card stocks.

I then took some Silver Metallic card stock and created my card bases. To adhere all of my frames, I actually turned them all upside down and then added some scotch tape to the back of them to hold them together. I then added some thin foam tape to the back of each set of frames and then added them to my card base in one piece.

I then die cut the snowflakes from the same Silver Metallic card stock. They are from the Elegant Snowflakes and Border die set. I added 4 of them to each card. I die cut the Merry Large Word die three times from some aqua card stock, stacked them together, and then added them to my cards. I finished off the cards by stamping the Christmas portion of the sentiment which is from the Happy Sayings stamp set.

I hope you've been inspired today. Thanks for stopping by. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

3 Cards with Patterned Paper as the Focus

Friday, November 19, 2021

Hi friends and happy Friday. I've got three cards to share with you today. These cards feature the gorgeous Autumn Hues paper pack that was released a couple weeks ago from Whimsy Stamps along with some other die sets in the store.

For my first two cards, I took two different patterned papers and die cut them using the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die collection. I then added them to kraft card bases. For the card on the left, I took the You Are Word die set along with the Awesome Large Word die and die cut them from some deep red card stock three times each. I stacked them up and added my die cut words to the card.

For the card on the right, I took the Bold ABC die set and die cut the letters to say Happy Fall. Again, I die cut each letter 3 times for added dimension.

For my third card, I took another one of the patterns from the Autumn Hues paper collection and again, I die cut it using the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die collection. I added this to a kraft card base.

I then stamped my sentiment with some coordinating purple ink which is from the Beaucoup Bouquet Sentiments stamp set. I then die cut it out using a die from the Rounded Rectangles die set. I then die cut some of the leftover paper I had from this sheet using the leaf dies from the Build-a-Pumpkin Patch die collection. I popped up my sentiment with some foam tape and then added a couple leaf die cuts and this card is complete.

I hope you've enjoyed these cards today. Thanks for your visit. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

2 Cards with the Slimline Zig Zag Edger Dies

Thursday, November 18, 2021

Hello friends and thanks for stopping by my blog today. I have two cards to share with you today, featuring the same color combo and some of the same products.

My first card is a fun slimline card featuring the Slimline Zig Zag Edger dies. I started by taking one of the dies and die cutting it 5 times from various shades of red and pink card stocks.

I adhered them all together on a white slimline size card base. I then stamped out 3 of the butterfly images from the Butterflies set. And the best part now is that there are coordinating dies for these butterflies - yay! I stamped the sentiment which is from the Simply Stunning stamp set using my Misti so I could stamp it several times since I was stamping over glued die cuts and texture with the stitching in the die cuts. I then took the twinkle cluster image which is also from the Simply Stunning set and stamped that a couple of times. I adhered the butterflies and this card is complete.

I have a second card to share with you today using the same supplies. I took one of the other dies from the Slimline Zig Zag Edger die collection and die cut it using the same colors of card stock from my first card. I adhered them to a thin piece of white copy paper. I trimmed my panel in half and then stamped the sentiments directly onto my card base which are from the Simple Sentiment Strips set.

Thanks for your visit. I'll be back in a couple of days with a new card share featuring products from a brand new release. Until then, crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
