Hello friends. Long time no see, right? I'm back today with a fun Halloween card featuring some amazing paper from Whimsy Stamps that was just released, the BOOkeh, along with some previously released Halloween products.
To get started, I took one of the patterned papers from the new BOOkeh 6x6 paper collection and trimmed it down and added it to a purple notecard. This card measures about 5x6 inches or so.
I then took the Witch Whispers die and die cut the witch from both black card stock as well as some purple glitter foam. I stacked the two die cuts together but offset them just a bit so that there would be a bit of a shadow effect.
I then took out the Build-a-Graveyard die set and die cut two of the tombstones from the same purple card stock that my card base was made from, and I also die cut one of the fence pieces from black card stock. I added shading to the tombstones to deepen them up a bit and add a bit of dimension and added them to the card on the left. The fence was added in the bottom right corner and then I added my witch.
It was at this time that I was thinking, oh shoot, I didn't add a sentiment. :) So, I pulled out the Halloween Scream set and stamped the Happy Halloween directly onto the patterned paper with black ink. I wasn't sure how well it would show up given the background, but I think it worked out just perfectly.
Here is some inspiration from the team.
I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for your visit and crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
