Disco - 3 Cards and a new Release

Friday, July 21, 2023

Hello friends and happy Friday!. I'm sorry it's been so quiet around here lately. But I'm back today with three slimline cards featuring lots of new products from the mini release that just hit the Whimsy Stamps shop.

For these first two cards, I am using the new Slimline Retro Groovy toner card panels and did some foiling. For the top card, I die cut it from the Slimline Cornered Rectangles die set and then added it to a piece of black card stock and then manually trimmed around it so I had a thin border. I added die cuts from the new Retro Dancers die set. Each of them was cut three times and stacked for dimension. I finished off the card by adding in a stamped sentiment which is from the new Disco Dude Dudley stamp/die combo.

For the bottom card, I again added stacked die cuts from the Retro Dancers die set and also added my foiled panel to a piece of black card stock. I opted to not have a sentiment for this card as I let the sentiment Disco Party that was foiled take that. I can use this card now for a birthday card, a celebration card, a congratulations card or just a hello card.

For my third card, I started by embossing the Slimline Wave Lengths embossing folder and then I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper. This panel was added with foam tape to a slimline notecard.

I then die cut the new Slimline Retro die from both white and holographic card stocks. I stamped the word disco using the Alfadoodles stamp set onto the openings in the die and then colored them in with some grey markers. I finished off the card by adding in some of the Retro Dancer dies.

I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for your visit and crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

How fun and retro! I can just hear "Stayin' Alive" playing in the background. Makes me smile. Thanks for sharing these fun cards, Alanna!
