Celebrate Today

Hello friends. I'm back with another card featuring new products from the latest release at Whimsy Stamps. For my card today, I am using the super cute Pinata Festejar stamp set.

To get started, I stamped one of the pinatas from the Pinata Festejar set onto a piece of white card stock that had been die cut using the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die set. I colored the image in and then stamped a few of the candy pieces and colored them in.

I then stamped the images onto some masking paper. I fussy cut out them out and added it to the top of my stamped and colored images.

I then took the Cosmic Half Tone Oval stamp and stamped over the entire background. I removed the masking paper and then stamped the sentiments. The larger sentiment is from the Happy Headlines set. The smaller sentiment which I stamped in red ink is from the Camp Critters set.

I added my stamped and colored panel to a grey A2 notecard and that completes this card.

I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for your visit and crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Such a fun card, Alanna. I've never heard the term festejar, but then I looked it up and it makes total sense! :) The background stamp you used looks really cool, too. I have to say it makes the background look like a cross stitch fabric called Aida. LOL See where my brain is these days? Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you have a great start to your week. Crafty hugs!
