A Quick and Easy Halloween Card

Friday, September 2, 2022

Hello friends. I have a fun and easy Halloween card to share with you using a new stamp set from Whimsy Stamps, released on the 1st. To get started, I created my background using a circle mask and some alcohol inks. I watched my friend Lisa's tutorial she recently shared about using an air compressor and alcohol inks to create fun backgrounds in minutes.

She used Copic refills but I used alcohol inks from Tim Holtz, all listed below. I started by adding my circle mask to a piece of white card stock and then took this airbrush kit and added in the blue, black, and purple inks. I then took some Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink and lightly blended in some color into the moon spot.

After I was happy with my background, I took some images and the sentiment from the new ATC Halloween set and stamped them with black ink. I rounded the corners of my panel and added it to a purple A2 card base and my card is complete. All in all, this card only took about 15 minutes to complete!

I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for your visit and crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Well, that background looks nice and eerie. I like the look of the alcohol inks and how they blended together to create the mood. Your trees look nice and spooky, too. Great Halloween card, my friend! :)
