2 Slimline Halloween Cards

Thursday, September 16, 2021

Hi friends. I'm back today with 2 more slimline cards featuring more products from the newest release at Whimsy Stamps

For my first card, I started by taking the awesome Slimline Connected Rectangles die and die cut it from some black card stock and also from one of the patterned papers from the newer Vintage  Halloween 6x6 paper collection. I had to run the die through two times from the piece of patterned paper to get all 3 sections I needed. I added all of these pieces to a slimline card base cut from some cream card stock.

I then stamped some of the images from the new Cocoon stamp set. This set has some adorable images along with some awesome sentiments. I fussy cut out my images and added them to my card - some with foam tape and some just with liquid glue. I heat embossed a sentiment with orange embossing powder. It is from the Halloweeners stamp set that was released last year.

I finished off the card by adding some orange pearls.

For my second card, I took the same Slimline Connected Rectangles die and die cut one of the patterns from the new Slimline SurReally Cool Halloween paper collection. This die works perfectly with these papers. I added the frame directly to my orange slimline card base.

I then die cut the Slimline Connected Rectangles die 4 more times from black card stock. I just wanted the inner rectangle portions so I could stack up those pieces. I added the patterned papers to my stacked up black rectangles and then inlaid them back into the frame. I heat embossed the same sentiment from the Halloweeners set I used in my first card and this card is complete.

I hope you've been inspired today. Thanks for your visit. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

These two slimlines are terrific Halloween cards. I really like how different they are using the same die. Always amazes me how you can get a whole new feel for a product. Thanks for sharing the versatility of the die. Great job on these cards, Alanna. :)
