2 Halloween Slimline Cards

Friday, September 10, 2021

Hi friends and happy Friday. I'm back today with 2 fun slimline cards using an awesome new embossing folder from the latest release that just hit the shop at Whimsy Stamps.

For the card on the left, I started by taking a piece of cream card stock and used the Slimline Broken Web embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine. I trimmed it down slightly and added it to a purple slimline card base. I then took the Spiders & Webs die set that came out in the last release and die cut two webs from the same cream card stock and then die cut the spiders from some black glitter card stock.

I added these to the panel. I finished off the card with a stamped sentiment that I fussy cut and popped up with foam tape. It's from the Fuzzy Spiders set that was released last year.

For the card on the right, I started by embossing the Slimline Broken Web embossing folder with some black card stock. I then took some Distress sprays and added color to the background. Once it was dry, I trimmed it down and then added it to a black slimline card base.

I then took the Eek! Word & Shadow die set and die cut it from both black card stock and some holographic card stock. I adhered the layers together. I die cut more spiders from the Spiders & Webs die set from black glitter card stock and this card is complete.

I love how both of these turned out!

Here is some inspiration from the rest of the Creative Team.

These are two frightfully fun Halloween cards, Alanna. I like the webs and the sparkliness. The spiders look great, too, even if they make me shudder a bit. ;) Thanks for sharing!
