Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes from Spellbinders

Tuesday, June 29, 2021

I have the pleasure of guest designing for Spellbinders and am using two of the dies from the Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes collection by Becca Feeken and have 3 cards to share with you today - all with die cutting only and no stamping.

I created two cards using the Happy Anniversary Vignette. For my first card, I decided to make a square card. I die cut all of the die pieces from some teal card stock and then die cut the circle portion of the die from some silver pearlescent cardstock. I layered the happy anniversary portion of the die over top of the silver portion and then layered everything together, using some foam adhesive behind the center portion for dimension.

I added some Silver Silk Specialty Card from Tonic Studios, which I used my Corner Chomper to round all of the corners on, to my card base and then added my finished die cut piece on top. I finished the card by rounding all 4 corners.

For my second card, I decided to make a shaker card. I started by die cutting the Happy Anniversary die from the same silver pearlescent cardstock I used above. I added a piece of acetate behind my die cut panel and then added some flat sequins behind it. I adhered everything to a light grey card base.

My shaker card doesn't have a lot of bulk as I didn't use any foam tape. Since the sequins are flat and I didn't add too many, they are still free to move around in the shaker window.

I also used the new Romantic Chargeour die collection to create this larger 5x7 card. I paired it with the previously released Die D-Lites Bold Type Hello die for this more elegant card.

I die cut various portions of the die collection from the Golden Satin Specialty Card from Tonic Studios. I die cut portions of it from black card stock. I doubled up some of the layers for added dimension. I added it to a black card stock base and then added in the hello die cut from the same Golden Satin Specialty Card.

I finished off the card by rounding both the corners on the right side of the card.

Thank you so much for your visit today. I hope you've been inspired. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna
