Hi friends and happy Monday. I have a scrapbook page (say what?) to share with you today in honor of National Scrapbook Day that this was this past weekend. I'm late in sharing my page.
Whimsy Stamps is starting to bring out some products that are perhaps more geared towards scrapbooking but they can definitely be used in cardmaking as well. You can find all of the products in the Whimsy Shop that would work well with your scrapbooking listed here.
I started by trimming a piece of 12x12 piece of black card stock to 8.5 x 8.5. I then took one of the patterns from the Slimline Black & White Dog paper collection and cut it in half length wise and adhered it on either side of my canvas leaving a thin margin on either side.
I added a piece of white card stock in the middle to make everything meet together. I then used the Rounded Rectangles die collection and die cut the largest die from it two times for my photo mats. I also used the Puppy Paws die collection and die cut the puppy prints and stacked the inner paw portions three times for added dimension.
The Puppy Paws die collection also came with the bones which I die cut from white and stacked two high on the right side of my layout. I then die cut the Woof word also from the same die collection, again stacking them two high.
I absolutely adore how this page came out and now just need to get some photos printed of my sweet pups. Once I do that, I'm thinking of getting a frame and adding this to it and bringing it to work. :)
I appreciate your visit and hope you have enjoyed this change of pace on my blog today. I used to scrapbook almost exclusively but gave it up when I started working full-time as I just didn't have the time to devote to it.

Oh this is really cute, Alanna! I like the paw prints. I think your idea to frame this page with pictures of your sweet pups is a great one! I was a big scrapbooker back in the day, too. Hmmm...I wonder if we'll see scrapbooking come back in a bigger way soon? Thanks for sharing! Have a great week.
Too cute, love those fabulous paw prints and that paper is wonderful!
So pretty. I love it.
