2 Floral Cards with Cardstock Warehouse & Prizes

Friday, March 26, 2021

Hi friends and happy Friday! I'm taking part in an Instagram hop today with Whimsy Stamps and Cardstock Warehouse. All week, the designers from both teams have been sharing loads of inspiration on Instagram with a hop. You can win $25 gift certificates from both companies for leaving comments along the way over on Instagram.

Here's a link to my Instagram account if you want to check it out. I thought I would also share my cards here.

I created two cards for the hop and both use some gorgeous metallic card stock from the Cardstock Warehouse and the beautiful Magnolia A2 die from Whimsy Stamps. I wish you could see the shimmer of these card stocks. They really give these cards an elegant feel.

For my first card, I started by die cutting the Magnolia die from the Blue Bell metallic cardstock. I then added it to a black card base. I then die cut a piece of black card stock using one of the dies from the Envelope Edger die set and added it to the top of the card for added interest. I finished off the card with a heat embossed sentiment which is from the Simple Sentiment Strips set and some clear gems.

For my second card, I die cut the Magnolia A2 die out of the Aquamarine metallic cardstock and adhered it to my card base. I then inlaid all of the pieces that were left over from my first card. This was a bit tedious but wasn't too bad and I love the look of it.

As I did with the first card, I took a different die from the Envelope Edger die set, although this time a different die, and added a die cut element at the top of my card and the bottom of my card.

I finished the card off with the same sentiment heat embossed and some clear gems.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Beautiful cards, Alanna. The first one is extra striking with the blue popping off the black. The other card is very elegant looking. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend! Hugs!
