Hi friends. Can you believe it's already July 1st? That is just crazy to me. I'm eager to announce that Whimsy Stamps is going to continue its smaller and more frequent releases but now there will be a set schedule. Every 1st, 10th and 20th of the month you can expect some awesome new products coming to the market. I'm super excited to be able to share new Whimsy with you all month long.
For this release, we have 12 amazing products, including the 5 items that were in the June Paper Door Bizzy Bees kit that sold out in record time. For just a few days, these will be available to purchase individually at 25% off! The release also includes 2 new Slimline dies - yippee!
I have two cards to share with you today, both using the new Sweet Succulents stamp set. These cute little cacti are so much fun to color and play with.
For my first card, I started by stamping the ledge image from the Sweet Succulents stamp set. I then added a piece of masking paper below it so I could stamp 3 of the cacti images directly on top.
I colored these up and then stamped the sentiment which is included in the set. I decided my card needed a bit more so I took my score board and scored my card panel every 1/2 of an inch for added interest.
I popped this up with foam tape and added it to a white top folding card base and the card is complete.
For my second card, I started by stamping the Checkerboard Doodles Background stamp with some black ink onto a piece of white card stock.
I then die cut the oval die that is included in the new Slimline Card Builder die collection 4 times. I stamped 3 of the cacti images onto them and then I stamped several of the single words in the Sweet Succulents set onto the 4th oval.
I hope you've been inspired today. Before you go, here is some additional inspiration from the team. Thank you so much for stopping by. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

Well, that just means we'll be getting to see you more often! You are crazy busy already, hope it doesn't make you too busy. But fun for us for sure. Your cards are terrific. I know someone in my house who would get a kick out of the succulents and cacti. She always points them out when we are out and about. You did a great job coloring and showcasing them. I like the scoring on the first card. It adds just a touch of extra interest. Thanks for sharing, Alanna. Have lots of fun with more frequent releases. Hugs :)
Oh I love the cacti - they are super cute and they work really well with just in black and white too xx
