2 Cupcake Cards for Fresh Friday at Whimsy Stamps

Friday, April 17, 2020

Hi friends. This is my second post for today. Click here for the #spreadjoynotgerms blog hop that I am a part of.

I am playing along with this week's Fresh Friday feature at Whimsy Stamps where every two weeks we take a look at 6 older products that pair together beautifully.

I have 2 cards to share with you today, both using the Calories Schmalories stamp set along with some of the other products being featured today.

For my first card, I started by stamping and then coloring one of the cute cupcake images from the Calories Schmalories set with the Karin Brushmarker Pro markers, available individually at Whimsy Stamps for a great price. These are so fun to work with. I certainly do need more practice using  them, though.

I stenciled my card base using the Sprinkles stencil and then die cut the Peekaboo Window 3 die. I stamped some of the sentiments from the Calories Schmalories set inside the circle cutouts and adhered my cupcakes. The middle one was added with foam tape. Some fun pearls finish off my cupcakes.

For my second card, I went a bit more CAS. I started by die cutting a piece of white card stock with the largest die from the Rounded Rectangles die collection.  I then die cut the bottom of it using one of the dies from the Wavy Edgers die collection.

I sponged on some ink through the Sprinkles stencil and then stamped the cupcake and sentiment from Calories Schmalories directly over top of it. I added a piece of patterned paper from the Fabulous Florals 6x6 paper collection and added my focal panel on top with some foam tape.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you are all well and healthy. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

The cupcakes look delish! Great use of the background stencil. Fun cards! I hope you are doing well. Looks like you are finding time to craft, which is excellent. Hopefully we won't have any more big snowstorms! Hugs!
