3 Different Cards Using the same Stamp Set

Friday, March 20, 2020

Hi friends. I'm back today with 3, yes 3 cards, using some brand new products that just hit the store today from Whimsy Stamps. They had a special release. For all 3 of my cards, I am using the brand new Butterflies set. I love this set so much and couldn't stop playing with it.

Before we get to my card projects, here are the new goodies that were just released. You can click on the photos below to be taken to the store. I will also have links at the bottom of my post for the products used today.

For my first card, I have combined it with another new product that was just released today, the A2 Lattice Die.  I absolutely love background dies and this one is fantastic.

My card also features one of the new papers from the Fabulous Florals paper collection that was just released.  Oh my gosh you guys, this paper is so gorgeous.  I've used one of the striped papers on my card today but the floral papers in the collection are to die for.

Okay, back to my card.  I started by trimming down a piece of paper from the gorgeous Fabulous Florals paper collection and added it to my top folding white card base, leaving a small white border.  I then die cut two of the A2 Lattice die, adhering them together and then adhering on top of my striped patterned paper.

I then stamped one of the butterflies from the Butterflies set using my Misti so that I could stamp it in two different shades of blue ink.

I stamped the sentiment which is also from the Butterflies set and then die cut this using one of the dies from the Stitched  & Pierced Circles dies.  I popped it up with foam tape and this card is done.

For my second card, I stamped a different butterfly from the Butterflies set, again using my Misti, so that I could stamp each butterfly in two different colors.  As you can see, I went in rainbow order. :)

I trimmed this panel down and then die cut each side using one of the dies from the Straight Edgers die collection.  I love the stitching detail that these dies provide.

I then took one of the sentiments from the Sympathy Life Goes On set, also just released and stamped it over top of the center butterfly.

I matted this panel onto some black card stock to help tie in the sentiment and then added some white pearls.

My last card for you today features the same Butterflies set along with the Criss Cross Gingham Background set that was released at the beginning of March.

I started by stamping the 3 smaller butterflies with some black ink. After it was dry, I then turned the stamps over and stamped the back side of the butterfly stamps with 3 varying shades of blue ink.  I thought this provided a fun and unexpected look.

I then took this panel and stamped it with the Criss Cross Gingham Background. I stamped directly over top of the butterflies in light grey ink.

For my sentiment, I took the smile sentiment in the Butterflies set and stamped it three times, forming a visual triangle.

I die cut this panel using the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies and this card is complete.

And here's a graphic of 16 gorgeous projects from all of the design team.

Alrighty then. If you've made it this far, I really appreciate it and I hope you've been inspired. Thanks so much for stopping by. Wishing each of you the very best during these crazy times.
