More Whimsy Stamps Inspiration

Friday, December 6, 2019

Hi friends and happy Friday. My card today showcases some great products from Whimsy Stamps.

I started by creating my background.  I took a piece of white card stock and sprayed it using the Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Spray. I then added some white acrylic paint to the background with a paintbrush.

I die cut this panel using the largest die from the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die collection for just some fun added texture.

I then got to work on the main focal point.  I had the idea to use the snow globe image from the new Glitter Globe set as an ornament.  I stamped the snow globe and then the cute little images inside of it. I did some simple Copic coloring and then added a very light blue color to the background. I felt it needed something else so I added in a few snowflakes which are part of the Glitter Globe set.

I then decided it still needed a bit more so I took the small bubble image from the Glitter Globe set and stamped it with white pigment ink for additional dimension.

I heat embossed the sentiment onto the bottom portion of the snow globe and then fussy cut the globe out. There are coordinating dies for this set, here, but I didn't have them at the time.

To turn this into an ornament, I drew a line with a black pen in the middle coming down from the top of my die cut panel. I used a ruler to help keep a straight line.

I adhered my snow globe to the panel and then added a small black bow made from a die in my stash to finish off this card.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. As always, supplies are linked below.
