The Birthday Candles are Coming for You

Monday, November 11, 2019

Hi friends. I know it's past Halloween but depending on the person you send it to, this stamp set could be used year round.

For my card today, I am using the super fun Candle Creeps stamp set from Whimsy Stamps.

I started by taking a piece of watercolor card stock and I added various colors of Nuvo Mica Mist sprays over top of it.  I had so much fun creating this background and the Morning Fog Sparkle Spray from Nuvo has a ton of shimmer in it.

I then stamped the images from the Candle Creeps set together and then used my Scan n' Cut to cut out the image as a whole.  I colored it simply with Copic markers and added it to the background panel with foam tape

I stamped the sentiment which is also from the Candle Creeps stamp set and die cut it using one of the Quick Strips dies from Whimsy Stamps. It was also popped up with foam tape.

I just love this stamp set so much and think that it is super unique.

This is so fun, Alanna! I love the colorful, shimmery background. Those Nuvo Mist sprays look like they could be a lot of fun to use. (But I surely don't need another thing to collect, right?) The image makes me smile. Those candles are SO creepy! And you colored them terrifically. Excellent card. I noticed you said you used a Scan n Cut. Which version do you have and how do you like it for cutting out images? I have a Silhouette and I've been meaning to learn the Pic Scan to cut images out, but haven't Have you ever tried that and if so, how do they compare? Thanks so much!
