Special Whimsy Stamps Release

Friday, October 25, 2019

Hi friends.  As this post goes live, I am currently in Florida for the Whimsy Workshop Weekend. I am so excited to see my old friends and make new ones. I'll be sharing the 3 cards I designed for the workshop in the next couple of weeks.

And speaking of Whimsy Stamps, they are having a special mini-release today with some super fun products.

For my card today, I made a slimline card using the Slimline Postage die. If you haven't seen these dies yet or given them a try, they are amazing.

I die cut both a piece of patterned paper and white card stock using the Slimline Postage die. I then stamped the cute little penguin from the new Frosty Hugs set, who looks very bewildered, onto 3 of the inside panels.

I colored him with Copic markers and then stamped the sentiment which is also from the Frosty Hugs set onto the 4th panel.  I finished off my stamping with a few light blue snowflakes here and there.  I inlaid these stamped pieces back into the panel I had die cut from the patterned paper.  Everything was adhered to a grey piece of card stock and then adhered on a top folding slimline card.

Thanks for visiting today. Crafty hugs! ~ Alanna

I'm sure you will have an awesome time on your getaway! How wonderful for you to get a break from your busy work schedule for a busy crafty schedule. LOL But, you know what I mean. I hope it fills you up! Your card is just adorable. That image is so cute. He is one bewildered penguin for sure. You've colored him so well. I like the plaid background, too and the die is very fun. Great job! Safe travels and crafty hugs!
