Ellie's Bauble for Whimsy Stamps

Monday, September 9, 2019

Hi friends and happy Monday. I've been sharing quite a few fall and Halloween cards lately but thought I'd mix it up today with a fun Christmas card using a new stamp from the latest Whimsy Stamps release, Ellie's Bauble.

Crissy, the illustrator behind these adorable elephants is beyond talented and super sweet to boot.  The facial expressions on her critters are just too cute. This sweet little Ellie is no exception.

I started by stamping, simple coloring with Copic markers and fussy cutting out sweet Ellie.  I then got to work on the rest of the card and had a hankering to use some patterned paper, which is something I don't do very often nowadays.

I die cut a white circle from the Pierced and Stitched Circle dies so I could have a place to stamp my sentiment and to help ground Ellie.

The sentiment is actually two separate words and comes from two different sets - the You're my Jolly and the You're my Favorite. I popped Ellie up with some foam tape and then added some Glossy Accents to the little bauble.  Some enamel dots finish off the card.

As always, a big thank you for taking time to drop by. I appreciate the support and kind comments. Crafty hugs!   ~ Alanna

Ellie is just adorable, Alanna. She looks thrilled with her bauble. Great coloring and use of the pattern paper. I like how you made the sentiment from 2 sets. :) Such a sweet holiday card.
