Happy Monday friends. I am thrilled to be one of the stops along a joint hop with Whimsy Stamps and Glue Dots. The hop runs all week so you have plenty of time to comment on each of your blogs for your chance to see some great inspiration and win some fabulous prizes.
Our teams will be sharing lots of beautiful projects featuring products from both of these companies. And we will have lots of prizes hidden along the hop as well as a grand prize valued at $100!
To enter into the giveaways, you just need to comment on EACH blog throughout the hop. Then for the grand prize after you have commented on all stops along the hop, enter your name and email in the linky tool at the last stop which is the Whimsy Stamps blog.
Winners will be randomly selected and announced on Monday, September 3rd at the Whimsy Stamps blog. Good luck and have fun!

For my card today, I decided to pull out some alcohol inks. I first created my background using some various shades of alcohol inks in blues and purples. After my panel was dry, I very carefully heat embossed the Snow Flurry Background image from Whimsy Stamps onto my alcohol inked background. If you happened to come to my blog today without starting at the beginning of the hop, click here to start at the beginning of the hop.
I can tell you that the Yupo paper wants to curl very easily and I had to only heat my background for just a few seconds at a time and then remove my heat gun and then repeat the process for a few times.
I just love the gorgeous detail from the Snow Flurry Background stamp and how well the silver embossing pairs with the blue and purple background.
After my background was complete, I adhered it onto a black card stock mat using the Mini Glue Dots Dot N Go tape roller.
I then die cut one of the three sizes of snowflakes from Whimsy's Snowflake dies {CURRENTLY ON SALE FOR ONLY $5) out of some silver glitter paper. It is such a delicate die cut so the Micro Dots from Glue Dots were perfect to adhere just a few portions of the snowflake die.
I finished off the card by white heat embossing a sentiment from the Everyday Mini Sentiments stamp set. I adhered it using the Pop up Glue Dots. These are great glue dots that have added dimension to them and are a great alternative to traditional foam tape.
And there you have it. A fun birthday card that will be perfect for a friend with a winter birthday this year.
Okay, next on your list is the talented Melissa. But if you get lost along the way or in case there are any broken links, I've included the entire hop list below.
