Studio J Wednesday -- Christopher's 2nd Birthday

Wednesday, December 28, 2011

Today's Studio J layout features pictures taken from Christopher's 2nd birthday.  I can't believe how little he was here.  I just want to eat him up, he's so stinkin' cute.  LOL
I enjoyed my time off work but am back today.  Good thing the New Year's holiday is just around the corner.

Studio J Wednesday -- Family Reunion 2010

Wednesday, December 21, 2011

Today's Studio J layout features pictures from our mini family reunion that we went to in 2010, with Devin's sisters and mother.  It was cold along the Washington coast but so peaceful.  I spent most of the time huddled around the fire.
Today's my last day of work for a few days as I'm taking a bit of vacation time.  I'm super excited to stay home for Christmas and have some time off to spend with the family.

Christmas Card Challenges #3

Sunday, December 18, 2011

Good morning to you.  Today's card is for this week's Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional challenge, in addition to making a Christmas or holiday card, is to use non-traditional colors on your card.  For me, I chose pink.  I love pink and always will.  The inside of the card says "We wish you a merry Christmas".
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  My Minds Eye

Stamps:  PTI
Other:  PTI dies, Martha Stewart chunky glitter, CTMH adhesive pearls

There are some super cute cards over at the Christmas Card Challenges blog and I hope you'll go check them out.  My fellow DT members are all so talented.

So if you follow the NFL at all, you know that there has been a lot, and I mean a lot, of talk about Tim Tebow.  I'm anxious for today's game and am hoping that my Broncos can make it 7 in a row!  Go Broncos!

Studio J Wednesday -- Bear Lake

Wednesday, December 14, 2011

Devin and the kids went to Bear Lake with his sister, Tyffanie, and her children a few years back.  I was in summer school and wasn't able to go, so I didn't get to actually see these memories in the making.  I'm so glad he took some photos.
Well, another Wednesday is here.  I hope you have a great rest of the week.

Christmas Card Challenges #2

Sunday, December 11, 2011

Hi friends. I'm back today with this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges where our optional challenge is to use doodling on your card.

I decided that my sentiment I used, from a retired CTMH stamp set, would count as my doodling.  I made a set of 8 cards like this for a friend at work who wanted some Spanish holiday cards.

***Supplies***
Stamps:  CTMH, PaperTrey Ink

Other: Cuttlebug, gems from my stash, PTI die

I've been working on getting my Christmas cards addressed and ready to go this weekend. I'm hoping I can get them all done to go out in tomorrow's mail. I was hoping to have this done by the beginning of December but time has just gotten away from me.

I'll be cheering for my Broncos to make it 6 wins in a row today, over the Chicago Bears. I love my Broncos, win or lose, but it's so much more fun when they are winning. :)  I hope you all have a lovely day and that you'll think about joining us this week at Christmas Card Challenges.

Studio J Wednesday -- Pie in the Face

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

Several years ago, Devin helped out at a school carnival fundraiser and as you can see, took many pies to the faces, including one from me.  He was a good sport and it was a lot of fun.
Have a lovely day!

Christmas Card Challenges #1

Sunday, December 4, 2011

Good morning.  Can you believe it's the start of another challenge year at Christmas Card Challenges?  This week's challenge is to make a one layer card. I chose to interpret this challenge as one layer in addition to my card base.

Remember, though, that the only real rule to play along is to make a new holiday or Christmas card. The optional challenges are extra.  Since it's the first week of the month, it's a prize week, which means one lucky winner will win a stamp from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.

***Supplies***
Stamps: PTI

Other: Sizzix embossing folder, red gems from my stash
Don't forget that we have several new designers for this next term so there will be lots of eye candy this week over at the challenge blog.  I hope you have a great day.  I'll be rooting for my Broncos to win and for the Raiders to lose on the football front.
