CFC166 - Music to my Ears

Thursday, January 26, 2017

Happy Friday friends. There's a new challenge starting today at CAS-ual Fridays and this time, we want to see music on your cards and projects.

I decided to make a Christmas card and I searched through my stash of patterned papers until I found something music related. I love the subtle musical note background on this paper. I trimmed my paper down and then took some embossing paste and added it through this gorgeous Flourish stencil.

I stamped my sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Snowy Sayings stamp set and popped it up on foam tape. I did decide to give my card panel a bit of roughing up by distressing the edges - this is something I used to do a few years ago but it's been quite some time since I've done such since.

I do hope you will hop on over to the challenge blog and enter something. You have the chance to win up to a $50 gift certificate to CAS-ual Fridays. Now that would make for a fun shopping spree.

Thanks for visiting and crafty hugs!

A lovely card, I have that stencil too and never thought of using is as a focal point like this, it looks fab. Love that we're seeing some distressing from you here too, it's nice to change things up sometimes isn't it?

Also I have to say thank you so much for the card you sent, it was so unexpected! It arrived the other day and after a very long and stressful day at work it was just the thing to cheer me up, so I really appreciate it :) xx

I haven't seen you do distressing on a card, but really it looks lovely on this one. Very old fashioned and antique. I love that flourish in the middle! Xx

So beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration on this card. I love the embossing paste (and just happen to have some I've never used). This would be perfect for just about any occasion (with different background paper of course). Hugs!
