2 Congratulations cards with PTI

Friday, November 11, 2016

Happy Friday friends. I have two congratulations cards to share today, both using similar techniques but you'll see that mixing up the colors gives them such a different feel.

For my first card, I took inspiration from several of Kay Miller's cards and the beautiful water coloring she does. I started by taking some water color card stock and then blending on some pink and purple distress inks. I spritzed it with water to give some fun water droplets and then added a few touches of some white paint for more interest. The sentiment is from PTI's Wet Paint III stamp set.  I added sequins, the card panel on some black card stock and lastly, I added foam tape to give the entire card panel some dimension.

For my second card, I started by doing the same technique with the Distress inks. This time, I stamped the sentiment from the Congrats All Ways set from PTI in gold ink. Gold sequins finish off this card.

Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend. Crafty hugs!

You've certainly done Kay proud in creating lovely backgrounds, but you've also made these your 'own' with your own special touches! Glad you didn't ask us to choose a favourite; they're both equally as stellar!
