Warmest Winter Wishes for Clearly Whimsy Stamps

Wednesday, October 26, 2016

Happy Wednesday friends. I have a fun and easy card to share with you using the super cute In my Backyard stamp set from Whimsy Stamps

I started by water coloring the card panel using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I just scribbled strokes of various blue markers on the water color card stock and then took a large paint brush with water and blended the colors out. I let it dry and then I added more of the markers and again, blended it out with water. This allows for richer colors and more texture and dimension.

Once everything was dry, I gave the whole panel a large spritz of some sheer glimmer spray. The photo didn't pick up this detail but it is so sparkly and shimmery in real life.

Once the panel was dry, it was then time to stamp the large fun image from the In my Backyard set onto the panel. I used my Misti to help with this so I could stamp it a couple of times for an extra good impression. I then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set.

I'm also entering this into the current anything goes challenge over at Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge blog.  I hope you have a wonderful day and I do appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit.
