Celebrate for CFC147

Thursday, May 5, 2016

Hi friends. I'm so excited to be sharing a card with you today for the revamped CAS-ual Friday's challenge blog. A new challenge will be posted every other Friday. You don't have to use CAS-ual Friday stamps and dies to participate but if you do and you are the winner, your prize is bumped up to $50 to spend at CAS-ual Friday's.  How cool is that?

In case you missed the announcement I made last month on my blog, I will be the Challenge Director for this blog. The other designers have been introduced earlier this week on the challenge blog and there is some awesome talent over there.

For this week's challenge, we are celebrating CAS-ual Friday's 5th birthday all month long. For this challenge, make a birthday themed card or project for the women in your life.

I started by doing some ink blending on my card front. I then spritzed it with some water to get those cool droplets. After my panel was dry, I stamped my sentiment from Shenanigans and those fun flower images from the Girlfriend set using my Misti. For a finishing touch, I added some matching sequins from Pretty Pink Posh in the flower centers.

I'd love it if you went and gave my fellow teammates some love.

Congrats again on your new gig! I hope you have lots of fun. This first card looks fabulous. What a pretty color for the background. The two colors you used to ink it look amazing together. Wonderful distressing too. And that sentiment is fabulous! Putting it all on the black mat sure makes everything pop beautifully. :) Hugs!!
