showCASe your style challenge #17

Saturday, June 13, 2015

There is a fun sketch over at the showCASe your style challenge blog. I used the super cute Ice Cream Cone die set from Clearly Whimsy Stamps. My background comes from the Basic Borders & Backgrounds 2 set while the sentiment is from the Yum, Yum, Yum stamp set.

I die cut the cone portion of the die and then to give it extra dimension and shading, I swiped my kraft ink pad over the entire die cut. This really helped the embossed lines stand out.  My ice cream scoops have lots of sprinkles on them -- I used the Pico Embellisher to achieve this look. I love the fine detail that it gives. The whole panel is popped up on foam tape for dimension.

Happy Saturday. Thanks for dropping by today.

Great card, Alanna! I really like the ice-cream cone. The sprinkles are very neat. I'd never heard of the embellisher before. Looks like a fun item. I also really like how you stamped the background. Definitely adds a bit of interest. You do find some really neat tools. Thanks for sharing!
