Thanks for Everything

Happy Wednesday friends.  Before we get to today's card, I'm happy to introduce you to Katie From Sweet n Spiffy as my newest follower. I stumbled across Katie's blog earlier this week and loved her work so I became a follower of her blog. And she was kind enough to return the favor.  It was this card of hers that I saw on another blog where I had to click over because it was just TOO cute.

I've got a real CAS card today that features a fabulous paper that I received awhile back in a PTI order. This was just in there with one other piece. I love it and wish I had 100 more just like it.

I made this for a dear friend who helped me get my sewing machine in working order again. I haven't been able to sew on any of my cards for the last year or so because I'm sewing machine impaired and was having problems with my bobbin. Thanks so much Andrea!  As you can see, my stitching isn't great. I think I need to adjust the machine slightly and probably do a better job myself.

Thanks for your visit. Crafty hugs!

What a nice friend to help you with your sewing machine, Alanna. I hope you can fiddle with the tension to get the stitching to look like you want it. To my eye, it looks like the top tension is a bit too tight. It just may take some fiddling to get it where it needs to be. The card is very pretty. Love the flowers. You have some very neat sentiments in your stash! Thanks, too the heads up on your new follower. I added her blog to my reader because that card you linked is adorable! :)

Beautiful!! I love the black in contrast to the hot pink! ; )

Glad to hear you've got your machine back in repair. Here is a tip I've learned:

If you have a "loopy" bottom or underside that means your top tension is too low. If your bobbin tension is off call the repairman : ) Bobbin tensions normally don't change whereas the top tension changes with the fabric (or paper) you sew on. : )

Hope that helps : )

So sorry... I didn't really finish my thought LOL I agree with Jeanne - I think your top tension is too tight try putting your top tension down to a lower number. : )

Katie's cards are SO fantastic, aren't they? Your card today is SO fantastic, too, Alana! Is that the "shimmer" paper from PTI? When I was just organizing my paper, I came across a package of their shimmer paper (NBUS, of course!) and now I can't wait to use it, but I'm not sure how the ink will adhere to it. If it is the shimmer paper, I'm glad to see that the Versafine worked great. Hugs, Darnell
