Christmas Card Challenges #17

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Hi friends. I'm late posting my card for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. Life is crazy here as we prepare to move in less than 3 weeks, so it's going to get even quieter around here than it already is.

This week, our optional challenge in addition to making a holiday or Christmas card is to use white, pink, green and purple.

My card is of course, super CAS and I used the technique where you use a die and rather than have it cut out your cardstock, you impress it into the paper.

I hope you'll go check out the challenge blog to see what the other designers have for you this week. Have you started on your 2012 Christmas and holiday cards?  Hugs!

Christmas Card Challenges #16 -- Shaped Cards

Sunday, March 18, 2012

Well it's Sunday which means it's time for a new challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. This week, our optional challenge in addition to making a holiday or Christmas card is to make a shaped card. I decided to let my PTI edger dies to the work for me on this one.

I also wanted to use Sparkle's adorable Elf Oliver but didn't have time to color so I left him plain.  What do you think?  Okay, not okay to do that?

That's all I have for today.  I truly appreciate your visits and those who comment.  It means the world.  Hugs!

Happy Birthday Mimi

Friday, March 16, 2012

Today's post is to wish Mimi, a fellow DT member at Lollipop Crafts a very happy birthday. Mimi, I hope your day is a great one!

I was able to use some birthday money and order these window dies from Poppystamps/Memory Box. I absolutely love these and you'll definitely be seeing more of these window dies in the future.

That's all for today. I hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Kris -- a special Blog Hop

Thursday, March 15, 2012

It's Krista Palakiko's birthday today and a few of us are throwing her a surprise birthday blog hop. If you've come here from Tammy's blog then you are on the right path, but if you just popped in you might want to hop on over to the beginning at the Lollipop Crafts blog. Why? Well one lucky hopper will win a SURPRISE PRIZE!

All you need to do is hop along to each friend’s blog, leave some love, then head back to the Lollipop Crafts blog and let them know you completed the hop. Who knows maybe along the way some of Kris' friends might be giving away RAKS of their own, so make sure you stop and give some love to everyone. The winner will be announced on Sunday, March 18th.

**If you get lost along the way the MASTER LIST is on the Lollipop Crafts Blog.

Kris is super sweet and kind a true gem.  Kris, I hope you have a most wonderful birthday!

The next stop on the hop is Cyndi.  Thanks for your visit. I'll be back tomorrow with another post.  Crafty hugs

Studio J Wednesday -- Family time with Heather and Steve

Wednesday, March 14, 2012

A couple of years ago, we were able to visit Devin's sister and her hubby in Washington. Hi Heather and Steve! We miss you and love you. Anyway, this layout features just some random pics taken during that wonderful visit.
That's all for today. Have a lovely day!

Christmas Card Challenges #15

Sunday, March 11, 2012

Good morning friends. It's time for another challenge at Christmas Card Challenges where this week our optional challenge, in addition to making a holiday or Christmas card, is to base your card on the inspiration photo that can be seen here.

I had fun playing with my new window die from Memory Box to create this little scene. My sentiment is on the inside of the card.
As always, I appreciate you taking a moment to stop by my spot in the world. I hope you have a great rest of the weekend.  Hugs!

Studio J Wednesday -- 2 Cookie Monsters

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

So I just love this Studio J layout featuring pictures of my children from several years ago. Seeing my kids at this age makes me a bit weepy because they are definitely growing up way too fast and they'll never be little again like this. Good thing I've got my scrapbooks to help me reminisce.
I hope you are having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Challenges #14-- Embossing

Sunday, March 4, 2012

Good morning friends. Today's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges is an easy one. We want to see embossing, dry or wet. I decided to use this older Cuttlebug embossing folder for a very CAS card.

Remember, though, that the only real rule to play along with us is that you make a holiday or Christmas card so that you're not so stressed come November and December this year.  Also, it's the first Sunday of the month which means that it's a prize week. One lucky winner will receive an image from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.
Sorry it's been so quiet around here lately. The only thing I seem to get done in my craft area are my Christmas cards. I'm in desperate need of birthday, thank you and thinking of you but I just haven't been able to squeeze enough time from my schedule to allow for that. Maybe one day, things will settle down.

But enough of that, I hope you have a most lovely day. May your lives be blessed.  Hugs!
