A birthday party for an 11 year old -- Studio J

So this is my last layout that I've done with Studio J.  {insert sad face here}  I am working on more but haven't finalized them or ordered them yet.  This layout features pictures taken the night Reynna had her friend birthday party last November.

I hope you're having a good day and week.  Thanks for letting me share my scrapbook layouts with you.

Christmas Card Challenges #17

It's time for another fabulous challenge at Christmas Card Challenges. The optional challenge this week no stamping. And remember, the only real rule is that you make a holiday or Christmas card.
My card doesn't get much easier than this.  Just some die cuts and poof, one more card to add to my stash.

***Supplies***
Other:  PTI Color Coutre and die

Thanks for your visit.  I hope you'll play along with us so that come December, you won't be rushing to get all your Christmas cards done.

Portland Zoo Studio J Layout

First off, I want to wish a very happy birthday to my good friend Melissa.  I hope you're having a great day.

While we were in Portland last summer, we also stopped by the zoo there.  The ticket booth to the zoo was within walking distance from where we were staying with my wonderful cousin David.  You pay and then take a train ride to get you to the actual zoo entrance.  We had a great time at this zoo.
That's all I have for today.  Yeah for it being Wednesday.

Christmas Card Challenges #16

This week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges is to use one patterned paper, a rub on and incorporate stars into your project.  I think this might be the most simple card I've ever made but I love the patterned paper and I love the bottom edge.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  My Minds Eye
Other:  Making Memories rubon, PTI edge die

I hope you'll head over to the Christmas Card Challenges blog and see what the other designers have for you.  And then if you get a chance, we'd love to have you play along.  Have a good day.

Reynna turns 11 -- Studio J Layout

Here's another Studio J layout, this one featuring pictures from Reynna's birthday last year.  I love that my scrapbooking is slowly but surely getting caught up with the help of this fabulous program.

I hope you're having a good day and week.  Mine's going okay, just crazy busy but nothing unusual there.

Birthday blog hop for Kris

Today is Kris' birthday over at Lollipop Crafts and we thought it would be fun to surprise her with a birthday blog hop.  If you've come from Tammy's blog, you're on the right track.  If not, the start of the hop is over at Lollipop Crafts.

Kris, I hope you have a terrific birthday and that your day is full of joy.  Sending you big birthday hugs!

Your next stop on the hop is Juelmarie.  Several of the girls have RAKs for hoppers and Kim has a surprise for everyone who comments on each blog along the way.

Also, why don't you head over to Kris' blog and wish her a happy birthday.

Christmas Card Challenges #15

This week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges is to use an elf on your card.  Remember though, that the only real rule to play along is to make a Christmas or holiday card to help you prepare for 2011 so you're not stressing out come this December.
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey

Stamps:  Sparkle Creations Elf Oliver, PTI
Other:  Nesties

So how has your weekend been going?  My two nephews from Michigan are here this weekend so there's been a lot of excitement going on.  I'm so happy for my kids that they could see their cousins and have a good time.  However, 3 boys under the age of 7 is enough to wear anyone out.

Critters for Lollipop Crafts

Good morning.  The challenge this week at Lollipop Crafts is to use a critter on your project.  Our sponsor is Meljen's Designs

I used the Sleepy Time Bear image from Meljen's Designs.  The rolled flowers were made from a die from MFT.  Aren't those just so fun?  Reynna made these two along with a whole lot of others for me to use.

***Supplies***
Stamps:  Meljen's Designs, PTI

Other:  Rolled flower die from MFT
I hope you'll check out the Lollipop Crafts blog and play along with us this week.  A random winner will receive 4 digis of his/her choice from Meljen's Designs

A Visit with my Brothers

This layout is pictures taken last November when 2 of my brothers came from out of state to visit.  Isn't this such a fun layout from Studio J?

So my nephews are here visiting from Michigan.  My mom is watching them during the week and then we'll take them this coming weekend.  The kids are so excited to see their cousins, as I am my nephews.

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope your week is treating you well.  Take good care.

Christopher and StarWars

So for the past year or so, Christopher has totally been into StarWars.  He loves everything about it.  He has a Wii game, a couple of shirts, two pairs of pajamas, lego sets, stickers, and books.  I thought I'd share just a few pictures I snapped the other day.  He checked out a book from the library that lists all the vehicles and people that appear in the StarWars series and was glued to it.

He's a pretty goofy boy but man do I love him.  Have a great Tuesday.

Good morning.  It's time for this week's Christmas Card Challenge.  This week, Peggy has a great sketch for you.  Remember, though, that you don't have to use the sketch to participate, that's optional.  The only real rule is that you make a Christmas or holiday card.  And since it's the first week of the month, there is a great prize up for grabs.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI
Other:  PTI Color Coutre, Cuttlebug

Okay, that's all I have for you today.  I hope you have a great rest of the weekend and thanks so much for your visit.

Sweet

Can you stand another card using PTI's Color Coutre lineup?  I cut out a bunch of the different elements and made several simple cards with them.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI Bitty Dots

Other: PTI Color Coutre, MS border punch, pearls from my stash

So Reynna and I weren't able to see the Justin Beiber movie a couple of weeks ago as planned because, can you believe it, the showing we wanted was sold out?

So it's back on the agenda for today, along with a haircut for both me and Reynna, and then scrapbook night.  Since most of us work full-time, and are always exhausted come Friday evenings, we thought we'd try something new and do it on a Saturday.  We'll see if it helps me be any more productive.  :)

I hope that whatever you have planned, that your weekend is absolutely fabulous.

Studio J Wednesday -- Denver Zoo

First, I want to give a big shout out to my very good friend, Andrea, who is celebrating her birthday today!  I think she reads my blog on occasion so if you're reading this Andrea, have a great day.  Love you lots!

This layout is from this past summer when Devin and I took Christopher one day to the Denver Zoo.  Reynna was in Michigan at the time visiting family.  There is so much to see and do, definitely too much for one day.  Luckily, it wasn't too crazy hot but still a bit hotter than I like it.

I just love the picture on the left side of the right page, Christopher looking at his map.  He absolutely loved the map that we got at the zoo entrance.  He studied it often during the day.

Are you having a good week?  Mine's going okay.  Keeping busy with work and taking the kids to their various activities.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a teriffic day.
