Lollipop Challenges #28 -- Think Spring

Monday, February 28, 2011

This week's hostess, Tammy, at Lolliopop Crafts wants us to "think spring".  Spring colors, a spring image, you decide. I decided to use some bright fun colors.  These might actually be a bit more summerish but I'm thinking this card definitely doesn't scream winter, right?

As I've been doing often, I let the Color Coutre products from PTI do all of my work.  Helps make a cute card come along quickly.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by today.  Have a great Monday and I'll see you back here later in the week.

Christmas Card Challenges #13

Sunday, February 27, 2011

It's time for another Christmas card for Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional challenge this week, is to use border punches.  Remember though that this is totally optional.  The only real rule to play along is that you make a Christmas or holiday card to help get you ready for 2011.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI
Stamps:  Stamping Bella, PTI
Other:  MS border punch

Thanks for your visit.  Are you having a good weekend?  We enjoyed watching BYU beat San Diego State yesterday in a big college basketball game.  We're so hoping that this will earn BYU a #1 seed for March Madness.  Go Cougars!!!

Unscripted Sketches #95

Saturday, February 26, 2011

Saturday means another sketch at Unscripted Sketches and this one is a fun one.  I wanted to use this image from MFT.  I love how easy it was to color.  The icing on my cupcake got a healthy dose of stickles to bling it up.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI

Stamps:  MFT, PTI Mixed Messages
Other:  PTI ricrac die, stickles

It is bittersweet but I've decided to step down from the Unscripted team and I wish all the other designers the very best.  As such, this is my last post as an Unscripted designer.

I've been overextending myself and need to cut back on some things.  I've thoroughly enjoyed playing with Unscripted Sketches every week and will continue to play along when I get the chance.

So grateful to call you Friend

Friday, February 25, 2011

My card today is just me playing around with my Color Coutre goodies some more.  I love the sentiment and am so thankful to have the friends I do.

I stamped my flower images in Versamark ink for a faint background.  It's been awhile since I've done that and I definitely love the subtle look it gives the background.

***Supplies***
Stamps:  PTI Beautful Blooms 2

Other:  PTI Color Coutre

I hope that you've had a good week and that you're looking forward to the weekend.  Can you believe it's already towards the end of February?  Where or where is the time going?

Cotton Candy

Thursday, February 24, 2011

So Devin and the kids got me this really cool cotton candy maker for Christmas.  The other night, we decided it was high time that we bust it out and see what it could do.  Let me tell you, it made some fabulous cotton candy, which I love.  I'm a sugar lover and cotton candy is all sugar.  LOL

Thanks for your visit.  I hope your week is going well.  And thanks for all the birthday wishes.  You all know how to make a girl, who is getting older, feel special.

First day of School 2010 Studio J Layout

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

I've posted Studio J layouts the last 2 Wednesdays so I think I"ll dedicate that day to show you my layouts recently done.  This layout has pictures from the kids' first day of school 2010.  Isn't that the perfect paper for this event?  I love the handwriting and the crossword look.

It's real simple but I love how it turned out.  The border around the layouts are white so that's why these are showing up the way they are.  And can I tell you how much I love being able to have journaling and titles directly on my pictures?

In other news, today is my 37th birthday.  Life seems to be passing me by at an alarming rate.  Yikes.  Hopefully, Devin will be taking me out to dinner tonight.  Other than that, it should be a pretty regular day with work and all.

I hope that your day is a great one.  Thanks for your visit and take care.

Lollipop Crafts #27

Monday, February 21, 2011

Good morning to you.  I'm happy to be this week's hostess at Lollipop Crafts and the challenge I've chosen for this week is to use black, white, and a pop of color.  Robyn's Fetish is our sponsor this week and I used Peter da Puppy.  I wasn't sure how to color the image so that I could still fit the challenge in.  I then had an idea to just color the flowers.
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI

Stamps:  Robyn's Fetish, PTI
Other:  Nesties, ribbon from my stash

I hope you'll head over to Lollipop Crafts to see what the other designers have for you.  There's a lot of talent over there.  And then have yourself a great Monday.  Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Card Challenges #12

Sunday, February 20, 2011

It's time for another fabulous challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional challenge this week is to use light blue, dark blue, white and silver.  What a gorgeous color combo.  And remember, the only real rule is that you make a holiday or Christmas card.
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  The Paper Studio

Stamps:  PTI Signature Christmas
Other:  MS border punch, gems from my stash

That's all I have for you today.  Have a great day.

Unscripted Sketches #94

Saturday, February 19, 2011

Happy Saturday to you.  I hope that you've had a good week.  Mine's been pretty good, just busy as always.  Well, there's a new sketch at Unscripted Sketches this week.  Can you believe we're on week #94?

My card is relatively simple, just full of lots of pretty patterned papers.  I love the felt flowers and that fun flower shaped button I found in my stash.  Inside of my card says, "wishing you a lovely day".
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI

Other:  PTI felt, button and dies, pearls from my stash

Now I don't want you all to be jealous but it looks as though Reynna and I are going to see the new Justin Bieber movie that is out today.  I wanted to spend some fun time with her and this is what she suggested.  I actually really like his music.  Crazy that Reynna and I listen to a lot of the same music.  Or maybe it's sweet.

Well I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  We're also headed to friends tonight for dinner and a good time so we're looking forward to that.  Take care friends.

Baby boy card

Friday, February 18, 2011

I wanted to make a baby boy card so that's what I did with this cute image from Pink Cat Studio.  Melissa's images are so fun and easy to color.  My focal image was cut out using some nesties and then popped up with thick tape. Other than that, not much else to say about my card.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  My Minds Eye

Stamps:  Pink Cat Studio digi image
Other:  PTI buttons and twine, Nesties

Well, we made it to another Friday so yippee!  Have a good one.

The Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

Here's a fun layout for you today featuring pictures from our trip to the Rose Garden when we were in Portland this last summer.  It was so pretty and I've never seen so many flowers before in one place.  Portland was a great city and I can't wait to go back there someday.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Have a happy Wednesday.

Lollipop Crafts Challenge #26

Monday, February 14, 2011

First off, Happy Valentine's day to everyone.  Whether you celebrate, like or believe in this holiday or not, I hope that your day is absolutely fabulous.

There's a new challenge at Lollipop Crafts and our hostess, the fabulous Kim, wants you to use your favorite coloring medium.

JLJ Designs is our sponsor this week and  I chose this cute image, Sugarplum Fairy, to work with.  In my head, the bears tutu was going to be black and sparkly, but look different.  I think I maybe used too many stickles over the black outfit.  I do love the paper though with all the numbers on it and the way the pink and black look together.  So it's not a total bust in my book.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI

Stamps:  JLJ Designs, PTI
Other:  Nesties, MS border punch, PTI buttons, Stickles

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a good one.

Christmas Card Challenges #11

Sunday, February 13, 2011

It's time for this week's Christmas Card Challenges.  Can you believe we're on week #11 already?  The optional challenge this week, in addition to making a Christmas or holiday card, is shopping.  Woohoo!  Who doesn't love shopping?

I was so happy to find this Bella image in a stack of RAK images.  Perfect for this challenge.  It's hard to tell in the picture but I used my Spica glitter pens on the tree, scarf and some of the presents.  I also used my black one to color in the shopping basket.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Martha Stewart

Stamps:  PTI, Stampin' Bella
Other:  PTI buttons

I hope you'll have a chance to check out the challenge blog to see what the other design team members have for you.  And then, hopefully you'll have a chance to play along with us this week and get your Christmas card stash growing.  And then have a fabulous day.

I'll love you Forever and a Day

Saturday, February 12, 2011

So I typically have a card for Unscripted Sketches but I wasn't able to pull something together this week for it.  {Hanging head in shame}.  So, I'll show you this Valentine's card I made instead a couple of weeks ago.
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Martha Stewart

Stamps:  Pink Cat Studio digi image, PTI
Other:  Nesties, MS border punch

Have you had a good week?  Mine's been busy at work, no surprise there, but generally good.  I hope you enjoy your Saturday and rest of the weekend.

Christmas layout 2010

Wednesday, February 9, 2011

So I've got another Studio J layout to share with you today.  This layout features pictures from this past Christmas.  Who would have thought that I could have pictures from just over a month ago scrapped?  Well, with Studio J, even a scrapbooking slacker like myself can.  LOL

Also, just a reminder that you can click on the picture to make it larger, should you so desire.

Alrighty, that's all I have for today.  Have a great day.

Lollipop Challenge #25 -- Anything but a Card

Monday, February 7, 2011

Good morning.  It's Monday so there's a great challenge issued over at Lollipop Crafts.  This week, the ever so fabulous Kris is our hostess, and she wants to see anything but a card.  I decided to make a tag to put on a baby gift for a friend who is due to have a little boy here soon.

Meljen's Designs is our sponsor this week and I used Cuddle Cloud Baby, which is just an adorable image.  The original image came with hearts hanging down from the cloud, which were really cute but I needed my image to be a bit smaller since it was going on a tag.  My cloud got a healthy dose of my white Spica glitter pen, although, as always, I just can't capture the glitter in my picture.

***Supplies***
Stamps:  Meljen's Designs, PTI

Other:  PTI tag sale #3 die and bakers twine
It's the first week of DT term 2 over at Lollipop Crafts so I want to welcome all the new designers.  I hope you'll get a chance to go leave them some love and see what they've created for this week.  Blessings to each of you for a wonderful day and week.

Christmas Card Challenges #10

Sunday, February 6, 2011

Welcome to this week's post for Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional challenge this week is an inspiration challenge.  Click here to see the photo that inspired this card.  Remember, the only real rule to play is that you create a Christmas or holiday card so that you won't be so stressed out come December 2011.  And if that's not reason enough to play along, it's the first Sunday of the month, which means that Sparkle is offering up one of her stamps, from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, as a prize.  Does it get much better than that?

It goes without saying, but my card makes it into my 10 minute card category.  I'm happy with how it turned out, though, and love the look of the textured cardstock.
***Supplies***
Stamps:  CTMH

Other:  Adhesive pearls from my stash

So do you watch football?  We're excited for the Super Bowl, even though the Broncos didn't quite make it this year.  You know, they were really close.  Okay, they were second worst in the league.  Ouch.

Anyway, I hope that however you spend your day, that it's a good one for you.  As always, I truly appreciate your visits and comments.  Keeps me going.

Unscripted Sketches #92

Saturday, February 5, 2011

First off, I'm sorry that I've been MIA this entire week.  I have gotten to peruse through a few blogs but haven't really been able to leave any comments.  Life is crazy right now and I'm going through some personal issues and blogging has had to take a back seat for awhile.

Saturday is here which means another sketch at Unscripted Sketches.  I chose to rotate the sketch.

***Supplies***
Other:  PTI Color Coutre

So in case you're counting, this is 3 cards in a row where I've let the products from PTI's Color Coutre line to all of my work.  I just love how easy it is to make a card with lots of fun color and elements.  Even though mine are very simple, that's what I like and tend to gravitate towards.

Okay then, I'll see you back here tomorrow with my weekly Christmas Card for Christmas Card Challenges.  I hope you have a great weekend!
