Christmas Card Challenges #9

It's time for this week's card for Christmas Card Challenges.  This week's optional challenge is to use transarency or acetate on your cards.  I put a layer of transparency covering my entire card and then put the fun border punch strip over that, to hide the tape.  And of course you're not surprised to see such a simple card coming from me, right?  LOL

Did you have a good Saturday?  Mine was pretty good, went to the crop at work in the morning and then got our basement area where our exercise equipment is cleaned up so we can start using our equipment.  Time to get serious about shedding a few pounds and getting healthier.

Thanks for your visit. I hope you have a great Sunday.

Unscripted Sketches #91

Another Saturday is upon us which means it's time for another sketch at Unscripted Sketches.  I loved this sketch and will definitely be using it again.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI Distressed Dots
Other:  PTI Color Coutre

Today, several of the girls in the audit department at work are getting together for a crop.  Should be a lot of fun.  We'll see how much I actually get accomplished.  I always shoot for the moon but usually end up falling quite short of my target.  :)  Have a great day friends.

Stripes and Dots for The Crazy Challenge

My card today is for this week's challenge at The Crazy Challenge which is stripes and dots.  As you can see, I used lots of yummy dots on my card and more Color Coutre items.  I'm just loving using this line of goodies.  Such fun colors.

Do you like the bottom edge of my card?  A fun die from PTI helped achieve that look.  Such a nice touch, don't you think?

I hope you have a great Tuesday.  Thanks for your visit.

1 layer Cards for Lollipop Crafts

Edited to add:  Thank you for all the nice comments on my last post and the embossing.  I used PTI's nice, very thick white cardstock, which I think makes all the difference on how the embossing pops. Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary, just my cuttlebug and embossing folder.

Good morning.  Did you have a nice weekend?  Ours was pretty good, very low key, which is always nice.  I always feel like I could use about 2 more days to my weekends, though.

Today, I'm the hostess at Lollipop Crafts and this week's challenge is 1 layers cards. I just love these flower images.  Very simple cards, but you're not surprised, right?  LOL

***Supplies***
Stamps:  PTI Life, Larger than Life

It's going to be another crazy busy week at work this week.  Lots to do and never enough time.  Seems to be the story of my life, both inside and outside of work.

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by today.

Christmas Card Challenges #8

Good morning.  I hope you're having a nice day.  It's time for this week's Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional challenge this week is 'no coloring'.  Remember, though, as always, the only real rule to play is that you make a Christmas/holiday card and get your stash for 2011 going.

I've got a real CAS card for you today.  Just lots of embossing and some Color Coutre goodies from PTI.
***Supplies***
Other:  Cuttlebug, PTI Color Coutre and buttons

Be sure to check out what the other design team members have for you.  Their work is fabulous, as always.  I hope the rest of your day is splendid and that it's everything you'd like for it to be.

Anything goes for Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge

***Supplies***

How is your week going so far?  Mine's been going pretty well.  Work is very busy but I was able to accomplish a lot the last couple of days so that's always good.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great one!

A Studio J Digital Layout

Good morning to you.  I'm pleased to show you a layout I did using the Studio J software from Close to my Heart.  It makes scrapbooking super easy and more importantly, fast.  I've managed to get myself a bit okay a lot behind on my scrapbooking and this is going to help me get caught up.

These pictures are from when we went camping this past summer off the Washington coast.  It was super cold and not really a beach where you could swim but that didn't stop my kids and their cousins from having lots of fun.

I just love the big picture of the left side with my two nephews and Christopher just gazing out into the ocean.  What an awesome sight.
Thanks for your visit.  Have a great Tuesday.

So Devin and the kids have today off from school for MLK day.  I, on the other hand, get the pleasure of working.  And you know how much I love Mondays, right?  LOL

Well, thanks so much for your visit today.  Take good care and I'll see you back later in the week.

Christmas Card Challenges #7

It's time for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  This week, Peggy has provided a great sketch which can be seen here.  Isn't Elf Oliver, from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, just the cutest?  All of his outfit along with his hat got lots of glitter with my spica glitter pens.  And that embossing folder.  {sigh} I know I've told you how much I love it before but I'll say it again.  I just love those big dots.

Are you feeling the itch to make a Christmas card and play along with us this week?  Remember that any Christmas/holiday card will do.  The other challenges, like the sketch for this week, are optional.  We just want you to have a great stash of Christmas cards for 2011 so you're not rushing at the last minute.

My card is also for the current challenge at BasicGrey Challenges, which is spots and dots.  I used my dotted patterned paper from the Jovial collection.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps:  Sparkle Creations Elf Oliver, PTI Signature Christmas

Other:  Cuttlebug

Make sure to check out what the other designers have for you.  You won't be disappointed.  And then have a great day.

Unscripted Sketches

I'm so happy it's Saturday.  I don't have to set my alarm, although I never seem to sleep but more than an hour later, and there's a new sketch at Unscripted Sketches.  The sketch was a lot of fun to work with and I just love these pretty papers from DCWV.  The leafy paper is foil embossed and so pretty IRL.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  DCWV

Stamps:  PTI Signature Greetings
Other:  PTI ribbon

So do you have any big plans for the weekend?  I think ours will be pretty low key with some definite NFL playoff football watching.  I'm also hoping to get into my craft area to straighten some.  My room definitely needs some attention.

Well, whatever you're doing, thanks for taking time out to come visit.  I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Animals for The Crazy Challenge

It's time for another challenge at The Crazy Challenge which is animals.  I just love this image from The Greeting Farm and always makes me think that Christopher needs a puppy to love.  I would love a dog but the sheer amount of work, plus the fact that nobody is home during the daytime, keeps us from getting one.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey Max n' Whiskers
Stamps:  The Greeting Farm, CTMH Happy Birthday
Other:  CTMH hemp

So I now know why I've been feeling so terrible this past week.  I tested positive for strep throat yesterday. Here's hoping that the antibiotics will do their job and that I can start feeling better.

Well, it's a Monday which is always no fun but I hope that yours is the best that it can be.

Christmas Card Challenges #6

Good morning.  Today, I have my card for Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional challenge for this week is to use snowmen.  I think this is the first time that I've use an embossed piece of white paper and put it directly onto a white card base.  I have to tell you that I love the look and plan on doing this again soon.  My card is very simple but I'm super happy with it.

***Supplies*
Stamps:  PTI Tiny Treats Christmas, Mat Stack 1 Collection
Other:  Cuttlebug, PTI die and twine

So we took the plunge and bought a flat panel TV yesterday. Some Christmas cash paired with a bonus from work was calling to be spent.  We previously only had a 27 inch old-school television so this is big for us.  We got to watch the NFL playoffs yesterday on 46 inches of bliss.  LOL

Thanks so much for your visit.  Have a fabulous Sunday.

Unscripted Sketches #88

Good morning to you. Sorry that I've been so scarce this week.  I've had no energy to create as my body is fighting something.  Unfortunately, I'm not coming out on the winning side.  Hopefully some rest this weekend will help.

I do have a card for this week's sketch at Unscripted Sketches, which is a fun one.  So I love how my hair came out on this one but am not sure about the cheeks.  It was my first time doing something besides just coloring a face all one skin tone color.  Well, at least I tried something new.
***Supplies***
Stamps:

Other:  MS border punch, PTI button, CTMH ribbon, flower from my stash

As always, thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous Saturday.

Christmas Card Challenges #5

Good morning to you.  Did you have a nice New Year's Day?  We didn't do much, mostly football watching.
We did take a break from football to attend the baptism of a friend's son, which was very nice.

Well, Sunday means that it's time for this week's challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional challenge this week is to use either wet or dry embossing.  Remember, though, that the only real rule is that you make a holiday or Christmas card.  And don't forget that there's a prize offered this week, a stamp from Sparkle Creations, so I hope you'll play along with us.  Many of you might be thinking, but we just had Christmas.  I can't possibly be thinking about or making Christmas cards for 2011.  Well I'm here to tell you that you can.  LOL

I love this image from Sparkle Creations and thought that Josh would be great paired with this music note embossing folder.
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey Jovial

Stamps:  Sparkle Creations Caroling Josh, PTI
Other:  Cuttelbug, Nesties

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of the weekend.

Happy New Year's Day to all of you.  We went to some friends last night and had a great time ringing in the new year.

It's also time for this week's sketch at Unscripted Sketches.  There's a fun challenge this week as you can use any of the old sketches, 80+, to play.  I chose the sketch from week #27.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  My Minds Eye

Stamps:  PTI, Sparkle Creations Cupid Emily
Other:  MS border punch, gems from my stash
As always, thanks so much for your visit. I hope you have a most wonderful and safe New Year's Day.  Blessings to each one of you.
