My top 10 Cards for 2010

Thursday, December 30, 2010

I've been seeing lots of people post their Top 10 cards for 2010 on their blogs lately and I thought that would be fun to revisit what I've made this last year.

So, here are my faves from this past year, in no particular order.

Well, there you have it.  This will be my last post in 2010 and I want to thank each and every one of you who stops by to visit my spot in the world.  I'll be back here New Year's Day with a card for Unscripted Sketches.  I hope each of you has a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve.

Unscripted Sketches #87 and Merry Christmas

Saturday, December 25, 2010

First off, a very merry Christmas to each of you who celebrates this day.  I've enjoyed having the last couple of days off and look forward to a couple of more.  We've played lots of games, went to Outback Steakhouse, watched a couple of movies and pretty much just been bums.  Ahhh, the joys of not working.

Today, my parents will be coming over along with one of my brothers and my sister.  Later in the afternoon, some friends will join us for Christmas dinner.  We always watch Christmas Vacation so that will be in there at some point.
Unscripted Sketches has another sketch up for this week.  It's hard to tell but all the patterned paper and the snowflakes have lots of glitter and texture.  Such fun paper.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  DCWV

Stamps:  PTI On Ice
Other:  MS snowflake punch

However you are spending this day, I hope you have a fabulous one.  I'll be back with another post tomorrow.  Have a great one my friends.

Fancy folds at Lollipop Crafts

Monday, December 20, 2010

Today's card is for this week's challenge at Lollipop Crafts which is fancy folds.  This was a great challenge for me as I very rarely do something besides the standard fold for my cards.  The directions for this card type, Sakkalo's Zigzag, can be found here.  I didn't know where to add a sentiment so I'll add one on the inside when I use this card.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  PTI

Stamps:  PTI Round and Round, Matstack 2
Other:  PTI dies and felt

As always, I appreciate your visits and comments.  I hope you have a great start to your week.

Christmas Card Challenges #3

Sunday, December 19, 2010

Good morning to you.  It's time for another challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional add-on challenge this week besides making a Christmas or holiday card is holiday travel.  I thought this fun image from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, Sledding Chloe, was the perfect fit.  It's not really visible in the photo but I used my white spica glitter pen for the sleigh.

One more thought, as I was mailing out my Christmas cards this year, I realized that most of my cards needed extra postage for the bulky buttons and what not.  So I decided to keep this one stamp mail friendly.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey

Stamps:  Sparkle Creations, PTI
Other:  Nesties, white spica glitter pen

So how are your holiday preparations coming?  I'm officially done shopping. Woo hoo and I've got everything wrapped.  Reynna helped me a lot with the wrapping so that was nice.  I did a bit of baking yesterday and want to do some more this week.  Plates of goodies are such a fun thing to make and give to friends and neighbors.

Devin and I will be attending my work Christmas party tonight.  Dinner and entertainment at the local country club.  I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks so much for your visit. Have a wonderful Sunday.

Unscripted Sketches #86

Saturday, December 18, 2010

Good morning to you.  It's time for this week's sketch at Unscripted Sketches and it's a fun one.  Aren't those ice skates just the cutest?  And the fun socks?
***Supplies***
Patterned paper:  DCWV

Stamps:  PTI On Ice

Only one more week until Christmas and I'm super excited.  I'm taking a couple of vacation days off and will have a total of 5 days off.  Woo Hoo.  I hope you have a great day.  See you back here tomorrow.

Karate Awards December 2010

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

So last night completed the semester for karate.  All the students did different demonstrations of what they had learned and then were presented with a certificate and their new belt.  Reynna advanced from a white belt to a yellow-black belt.  Christopher advanced from a yellow-white belt to a green belt.  Both kids were thrilled with their progress during the semester and are looking forward to starting back up in January.

Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share these happy moments with you.  I hope you are having a great Tuesday.  I'll be making gingerbread houses tonight with a girls group in our church that I help teach.  It should be a fun night.

Christmas Tags for Lollipop Crafts

Monday, December 13, 2010

It's time for another great challenge at Lollipop Crafts and this week we want to see Christmas tags.  I have really been enjoying making different tags.  I've never really been a big tag maker but that's all changed now.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  DCWV

Other:  PTI die, buttons and bakers twine

If you're needing some tag inspiration, make sure and check out the challenge blog to see what the other designers have for you.  You won't be disappointed.

Christmas Card Challenges #2

Sunday, December 12, 2010

Good morning.  I'm pleased to be sharing another Christmas card with you today for Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional challenge this week is to use angels.  Remember that the only real rule is that you make a Christmas or holiday card.

It's hard to tell but I used my clear spica glitter pen on the wings and white part of the hat.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey Jovial

Stamps:  CC Designs
Other:  Nesties, gems from my stash

How are your Christmas preparations coming?  Less than 2 weeks away until the big day.  Yikes.  I've still got a bit of shopping to do.  Hopefully I can finish up everything this week.

Unscripted Sketches #85

Saturday, December 11, 2010

It's time for another wonderful sketch at Unscripted Sketches and it's a fun one this week.  My card is a bit bright but I like the pink, blue and green together.  Thanks to Sparkle for sending me this fun image.
***Supplies***
Stamps:  Stamping Bella, CTMH

Other:  Cuttlebug, MS border punch and chunky glitter

Be sure and check out the Unscripted blog to see what the other designers have this week for you.  Have a great one.

A nugget tin

Thursday, December 9, 2010

Good morning to you.  I've got a tin holding some delicious Hershey's nuggets that I decorated.  I stamped each label with a fun set from PTI in coordinating colors.  A fun tag on top of the tin finishes it off.  I've made a couple of these so far that I'll probably add to teacher's gifts this year.

***Supplies***
Patterned paper:  Basic Grey Jovial

Stamps:  PTI Holiday Tags 2010 and Sweet Treats
Other:  PTI die, tin and gems from my stash

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you're having a great Thursday.
