Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #26

Sunday, May 30, 2010

There's a new challenge at Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge, which is to use felt or fabric on your Christmas or holiday card.  I decided to make another pink Christmas card.  I wonder how many pink ones I'll end up with in my stash for Christmas 2010?  Probably quite a few.  :)  I hope you'll head over to the challenge blog and see what the other elves have for you this week and then why don't you get started on this year's cards?  Just about 6 months until the beginning of December.  Gees, where did the last 5 months of the year go?

I'll also enter this card into Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge.
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey

Stamps:  CTMH Christmas Melodies
Other:  PTI felt and ricrac border, CTMH pearls
Did you have a good Saturday?  Ours was good.  Devin had a few graduation parties to go to and I finished my New Moon book and started Eclipse.  Super good.  Laundry got done along with a bit of housecleaning.

Unscripted Sketches #57

Saturday, May 29, 2010

Happy Saturday to you.  I'm especially happy that it's the start of a 3-day weekend for me.  Can you believe I haven't had a day off of work (except for the day I took off to study in February) in almost 5 months?  Such a long stretch without any holidays.  Anyway, enough of that and onto this week's sketch at Unscripted Sketches.

This card also fits the challenge at Cute Card Thursday for no patterned papers.
***Supplies***
Stamps:  Stampin' Bella

Other:  Cuttlebug, MS border punch, Prima flower

I don't think we have any big plans this weekend.  Possibly a BBQ on Monday but we'll see.  There is of course plenty of housework and laundry to be done.  I"m hoping to get some pictures printed so I can make a couple of layouts.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a terrific weekend.

Penny's Challenges using fruits or vegetables

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Happy Hump Day to you.  It's time for another fabulous challenge at Penny's Challenges.  The challenge this week is to use fruits and/or vegetables in your creation.  We are sponsored by Sassy Studio.  Don't you love this Domestic Diva image?
So, I messed up coloring the image and the diva's right hand is holding a book.  I didn't have time to recolor and image so I improvised and cut off the book and hid my boo boo with the strip of aqua mist paper.  I'm not exactly thrilled with how my card turned out but there was no time for a redo.
***Supplies***
Stamps:  Sassy Studios Domestic Diva

Other:  Cuttlebug, PTI buttons
I hope you have a terrific day.  Please head over to the challenge blog and check out the other designer's work.  See you back here on Saturday.

You are a blessing to me

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Did you all make it through your Monday intact?  My day was okay, just very busy at work.  Today is the last day of school for the kids and Devin, although he has to do some grading and end of the year work for a few days.  I wish I was looking forward to summer vacation.

My card today came about just because I wanted to color and play.
***Supplies***
Stamps:  The Greeting Farm, PTI Signature Greetings

Other:  Cuttlebug, PTI buttons, CTMH waxy flax

Have a fabulous day.  I'm sad because one of my most favorite shows that used to play Tuesday nights is over for good now.  The series finale  for Lost was on Sunday night.  Did any of you watch that show?  We've watched faithfully since the beginning and it is one of very few shows that both Devin and I just had to watch and we had to watch it together.  I will definitely miss it being on next season.  At least American Idol is on tonight but the finale is this week as well.  Go Lee.

Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #25

Sunday, May 23, 2010

It's time for another Christmas card challenge at Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge blog.  Click here for the challenge and to link up your Christmas or holiday card.

I'll also enter this in Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  My Minds Eye
Stamps:  PTI Signature Greetings
Other:  PTI Buttons, Nesties

A good friend of mine, hi Shannon, and I took our kids to see the new Shrek movie today.  It was cute, although not my favorite one.  But really, you have to love Shrek.  And Donkey, of course.  There was a preview for the new Toy Story 3 movie.  That looks super cute and makes me a bit nostalgic for when my kids were younger.

Thanks for the visit and I hope you have a restful Sunday.

Unscripted Sketches #56

Saturday, May 22, 2010

It's time for another sketch over at Unscripted Sketches.  I absolutely loved this sketch and had such a fun time making this card.  Many of you know that I absolutely ADORE buttons and I had a lot of fun picking some out for this card.

***Supplies***
Patterned paper:  PTI Friends til the End

Other: Cuttlebug, rubon from my stash, PTI buttons
Make sure and check out what the other designers came up with for this week's sketch.  And then why don't you come and join us?  We'd love to have you participate.  You're sure to love the sketch this week.

Do you have any big plans for the weekend?  Devin is chaperoning an end of the school year dance and has asked me to accompany him so we'll be doing that tonight.  I hope that whatever your day brings you, that happiness tops the list.

Happy Birthday x 2

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Happy Wednesday to you.  I've got 2 real simple cards that were part of our Relay efforts the other day.  I just love this embossing folder.  So much fun.  Also, the paper has a lot of texture and glitter.  Very pretty irl.
***Supplies***
Patterned paper:  My Minds Eye

Stamps:  CTMH Happy Birthday
Other:  Cuttlebug, PTI buttons
We had a serious storm last night.  I was driving to get Reynna from dance and the rain was so heavy and then the hail started.  The streets were covered white.  I was so happy to arrive safely at the dance studio.  Although I walked in like a wet dog.  I was literally soaked from walking from the car to the studio.  Several counties in Colorado, including ours, were issued tornado warnings.  Yikes.

I hope that you have a fantastic day.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #24

Sunday, May 16, 2010

Good morning to you.  I'm here with my card for this week's Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge.  The optional theme this week is to add a snowman to your Christmas or holiday card.

My card also fits this week's challenge over at Practical Scrappers which is to use punches.  Bah Humbug wants to see a Christmas card using a border punch.  Lastly, my card is also for Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge.
***Supplies***
Stamps:  CTMH, PTI Signature Christmas

Other:  Fiskars border punch, liquid applique

In Relay card news, we made 364 cards yesterday.  There were 6 of us.  At this point, I don't know if I ever want to look at paper again.  :)  It seems all I've been doing for the past 3 weeks is cutting, stamping, embossing, etc.  My co-workers were very sweet and made me a thank you card and tucked a Hobby Lobby gift card in there.  I was touched by their thoughtfulness.  There are 40 more cards to make but I am waiting on some ribbon to get those done.
Thanks for your visit.  Take care and have a most restful Sunday.

Unscripted Sketches #55

Saturday, May 15, 2010

WooHoo for Saturday. It's time for another sketch at Unscripted Sketches.  It's a fun sketch.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  My Minds Eye

Other:  Fiskars border punch, PTI buttons, rubon from my stash
Today is the big day to assemble our Relay cards.  Everything has been stamped and cut for nearly 400 cards.  There will be a bit of embossing to do and then it is time for assembly.  It's been fun making all these cards but I'll be glad when they are fully made and ready for sale at our Relay event.  We did pre-sell about 150 of these to office folks already, so that's good.

I hope that whatever is in store for you today, that you make the most of it and have a most terrific day.  Until tomorrow.

A recipe challenge for Penny's Challenges

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Happy Hump Day to you.  It's time for another challenge at Penny's Challenges.  This week's challenge is a 123 recipe challenge -- 1 ribbon, 2 pieces of patterned paper, and 3 embellishments.

***Supplies***
Patterned paper:  CTMH Topstitch
Stamps:  Pink Cat Studio Hootie Owl, CTMH So Sweet Seasons

Other:  ribbon from my stash, PTI buttons

I hope you have a terrific Wednesday.  We had very heavy rains yesterday and woke up to snow on the ground this morning.  Yikes.  Isn't it May?

Thank you so very Much

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

I was playing around with my Color Coutre goodies some more which I just love.  Other than cutting the images out, they're so easy to work with and card making is a breeze.
***Supplies***
Other:  PTI Color Coutre and buttons, CTMH ribbon, Cuttlebug

I hope that your week has started out to be okay.  Soccer is over so no practice tonight.  Just dance for Reynna.  Her recital is coming up in just about a month and it looks like it's going to be super cute.  Take good care my blogging friends.

Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #23

Sunday, May 9, 2010

Let me start off by wishing all of my fellow blogging mothers a Happy Mother's Day.  Devin took me shopping yesterday and I got some much needed additions to my wardrobe as my gift.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any pants that I liked but at least the top half of me will be better dressed for the summer.

It's time for Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge and this week, there is a sketch.  Remember, the goal is to have your Christmas cards done before December so you aren't stressing at the very last minute and that the extra challenges are optional.  The only REAL rule is that you must make a new Christmas, Holiday, Hanukkah, or Winter card.
***Supplies***
Stamps:  CTMH Evergreen, PTI Vintage Labels

Other:  Nesties, Cuttlebug, CTMH buttons

I'll also submit this for Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge as well.  I hope you have a most enjoyable Sunday.  Blessings to each of you.

Unscripted Sketches #54

Saturday, May 8, 2010

Sorry for  my absence the past few days.  Life seems to be getting in the way of blogging.  :)  It's time for another great sketch at Unscripted Sketches.  I chose to rotate the sketch 90 degrees.

***Supplies***
Stamps:  PTI Signature Greetings

Other:  Cuttlebug, PTI Color Coutre
Christopher has his last soccer game today.  It's been fun but I'm kind of glad the season is coming to an end.  As always, there is laundry that I've ignored all week calling my name.  I'd really like to get a couple of "special" projects tackled ariound my house.  All of Jeanne's cleaning and organizing is trying to rub off on me.  LOL.

I hope you'll head over to Unscripted Sketches to see what the other designers have for you.  And then have yourself a most terrific Saturday.  I'll see you back here tomorrow with my Christmas card.

Happy Birthday with Cupcakes

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

I've got yet another card for Relay.  I've got about 15 cards designed so far and I've probably only shown you about half of them.  I have started to cut and score the card bases for all these cards.  We'll be getting together in less than 2 weeks to assemble.  I'm hoping to have everything cut to make things move smoothly that morning.  Yikes, I've got a lot of work ahead of me.

My card is for this week's challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday which is birthday with a sweet treat.
***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  The Paper Studio

Stamps:  CTMH Happy Birthday
Other:  Cuttlebug, MS border punch, PTI buttons

Thanks for stopping by.  Have I told you all lately how much your visits and comments mean?  If not, consider yourself told.  LOL

Another Happy Birthday for Relay

Monday, May 3, 2010

Hello.  Today's card is another one  for our Relay team.  You can't tell but I spritzed my flowers with my pearl glimmer mist to give them some bling.  Did I tell you that I love that stuff?
***Supplies***
Patterned paper:  My Minds Eye

Stamps:  PTI Delightful Dahlia
Other:  Nesties, CTMH twill, PTI buttons, flower punch, glimmer mist

I hope you have a great Monday, at least as great as a Monday can get.  It's back to work for me.

Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge #22

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Well, I survived yesterday.  It was a crazy day but the party went well.  Thankfully, the weather held and we were able to do it in our backyard rather than have all 14 boys in my small living room.  Rain was forecasted but someone was smiling down on me and my sanity.

It's time for another challenge at Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge.  The optional theme this week is to use bows on your card.  I have to admit that this one stumped me a bit as I don't have any stamps with bows on them.  So, I found this cute image online, printed it out, and I was all set.

***Supplies***
Stamps:  CTMH

Other:  Cuttlebug, circle punches
My card is also for Fab's Big Christmas Card Challenge for the wreath.  It also fits this week's challenge at Delightful Sketches for punches.  I used two different circle punches for my sentiment.

I hope you'll head over to the challenge blog and see what Sparkle and the other designers have for you.  And then come play with us.  It's never too early to start your 2010 Christmas cards.

I hope you have a great Sunday.  I'll be going to church and cutting materials for some of our Relay cards.

Unscripted Sketches #53

Saturday, May 1, 2010

Happy Saturday to you.  I'm so happy it's here as I have been feeling very sick this past week (actually 3 weeks and 2 days now, but who's counting?  LOL) and it's made work pretty rough.  I am on antibiotics now so hopefully they help.

There's a great sketch over at Unscripted Sketches today.  Make sure and head over there to check out the other designers.
***Supplies***
Patterned paper:  Basic Grey

Stamps:  PTI Friends til the End
Other:  MS butterfly punch, CTMH waxy flax, gems from my stash

I've got a busy day ahead.  Hair appointment, then soccer, a baby shower, and then Christopher's birthday party.  My baby turns 7 today.  Happy Birthday baby.  Mommy loves you!

I hope that you all have a fabulous weekend and that it brings you much joy.
