Christmas Card Challenges #3

Sunday, December 19, 2010

Good morning to you.  It's time for another challenge at Christmas Card Challenges.  The optional add-on challenge this week besides making a Christmas or holiday card is holiday travel.  I thought this fun image from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, Sledding Chloe, was the perfect fit.  It's not really visible in the photo but I used my white spica glitter pen for the sleigh.

One more thought, as I was mailing out my Christmas cards this year, I realized that most of my cards needed extra postage for the bulky buttons and what not.  So I decided to keep this one stamp mail friendly.

***Supplies***
Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey

Stamps:  Sparkle Creations, PTI
Other:  Nesties, white spica glitter pen

So how are your holiday preparations coming?  I'm officially done shopping. Woo hoo and I've got everything wrapped.  Reynna helped me a lot with the wrapping so that was nice.  I did a bit of baking yesterday and want to do some more this week.  Plates of goodies are such a fun thing to make and give to friends and neighbors.

Devin and I will be attending my work Christmas party tonight.  Dinner and entertainment at the local country club.  I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks so much for your visit. Have a wonderful Sunday.

So cute! I know what you mean about the extra postage, I keep trying to make thinner cards but it is so hard! LOL Have a great time tonight!

Super cute and festive card, Alanna! I hear you on the extra postage issue. This one fits the bill for not requiring it, for sure. Great job.

Hope you had fun at your work party.

I'm a tad envious that all your goodies are wrapped. I've got to get that done myself. And darn it all, my girls are awake longer in bed than they used to be, so it means I have to wait longer to even start. LOL I will work on it all week, so I'm not doing it all Christmas Eve! (I hope)

Did you hear Gidget(the sea lion) picked the Broncos for today's game? Wouldn't that be a refreshing change? LOL

What a wonderful card - and it will likely get to the destination in one piece! I am dismayed by the number of torn envelopes, etc. that I receive! Just one brad is all it takes!

You are WAY ahead of me in preparations! Enjoy your party!!

very cute! And I had the SAME epiphone when I mailed my cards this year, haha. So I'm with you - trying to keep my cards not as bulky this time around! :)

Just for the record, Pat loved the goodies so much that when I got home from work, there was just a piece of toffee and some crumbs left. Guess that's what I get for sharing. Thanks a bunch, you guys are THE BEST!!!
