Color Chef Challenge #9 meets Mojo Monday #89

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

This week, Kelly Jo picked black, white, dark yellow, and red for Color Chef Challenge #9. Now that I had some colors ready to go, I needed a sketch. I chose to work with Mojo Monday's sketch.

I made this card special for my aunt and uncle who are going through some troubled times. My aunt just got done with her second round of chemo and now doctors have found masses in my uncle. They are not sure if they are malignant or not, as of yet. Results from tests are being waited on. Anyway, they are both very special people to me and I wanted them to know that I was thinking of them and wishing them the very best.

***Supplies***
Patterned paper: CTMH Summer celebration background and texture paper
Stamps: CTMH Say it in Style, Simple Blossoms
Other: Nesties, red adhesive rhinestone, Martha Stewart butterfly punch

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I hope your Wednesday is a great one.

Lovely card! You did a great job with both challenges! I, too, am sorry to hear about your aunt and uncle. It's always so sad, but not uncommon, to hear about people who seem to get hit extra hard. It's not like one sick person isn't enough. It makes the rest of us realize how lucky we are. They are in my prayers.
